“So, to tell you the truth, the position that you applied for has already been filled.”
Your heart sank, hearing these words. You’d spent a lot of time preparing for this interview and were nearly certain you had the skills and the charisma to succeed at it. And to learn now that your time was just wasted was equal parts infuriating and heartbreaking.
Your would-be-interviewer continued speaking, not allowing you the time to truly process your emotions. “Worry not though, sir. We have an elusive position available that we know you won’t be able to say no to.”
You shook your head. “With all due respect, good sir, I did not come here for other positions than the one I applied for. I think I will be taking my leave an-” You started, but the interviewer cut you off as he grinned.
“No, you won’t be, actually.” He said, his tone sinister.
Angry, you decided you weren’t going to deal with this. You tried to be polite, but this company clearly wasn’t worthwhile and it wasn’t like you’d be using them for your resume anyway. At least, that’s what you were thinking, but you quickly found that your body wasn’t responding when you tried to get up. Your feet remained firmly planted on the ground, and your butt in the office chair across from your interviewer. “What are you..” You managed to ask, scared.
“I told you, you’re going to work for me. I’ve already decided this. I don’t believe you know that I actually have a side business – I don’t advertise it publicly, but I own a number of.. pleasure bars, for homosexual men, all across the globe. They’re very lucrative and revered – all of course because the staff are hand-picked by me and the customers are transformed during their stay.” He laughs to himself.
You can’t believe this, and have to wonder if you’re dreaming. This is near cartoon levels of insanity, and if you weren’t completely frozen in your chair you wouldn’t even believe this was possible. You didn’t want to work for this guy! You weren’t gay, anyway, didn’t he know that? He did mention transforming the customers though.. it would only make sense that this man would make his staff the same way...
