Jackie now pulled onto the road where the party was, a little late still leaving herself plenty of time to have fun. Turning towards her traveling companions she couldn't help but grin. "Well here we are."
Ann now glanced into the darkened woods, a small frown forming on her face. Jackie had talked her into coming out tonight in full costume, it just meant she would have to be 17 for the evening. "So where is it," she asked. "Are they just hanging out in the woods?"
"Cmon Ann," a now 17 year old Stephanie's groaned. "Dont tell me you never went to a party in the woods before?"
Ann frowned, glancing back at both Stephanie and Megan. When they had learned that Jackie had been invited to a party, they felt a need to come. True it meant becoming teenagers for the night but the idea of having fun together had won out. "I wasn't exactly Miss Popularity in high school Steph," Ann grumbled.
Stephanie grinned, the raven haired teen rubbing her hands together in anticipation. "Well nows your chance," she grinned. "Besides, that costume Jackie picked out for you is super cute."
Ann now glanced over their costumes, Jackie had told them the party was a costume party. Although at first unsure, Jackie had been very convincing. Now dressed as angel in a slight short mini dress Ann fidgeted nervously. "I don't know," she whispered. "I think this shows off too much skin."
"You look beautiful angel," Jackie grinned, the teen having decided on a she devil costume with a forming fitting leotard. "Am I right girls?"
"Super cute," Stephanie replied.
"Have to agree on that," Megan added. "Now let's go have some fun."
Ann sighed, smoothing out her costume as the quartet now walked along the path. While maintaining her adult mentality, old insecurities crept to the front of Ann's mind, especially looking at Stephanie and Megan.
Stephanie had decided on a gothic vampire costume (the irony of the costume not lost on Jackie and Ann considering what they were dealing with). The Victorian gown hugging the raven haired teens ample curves. Megans costume also complimented the grown down womans body. Dressed as a bunny with a small tail and ears, the white leotard hugged Megan curves. "Geez those two never had an awkward stage," Ann thought.
Jackie now glanced back at Ann, noting her girlfriends apprehension. "You doing okay Angel?"
"I guess," Ann sighed. "I don't know, just looking at Megan and Steph and well, just not feeling very attractive. I know its dumb."
Jackie paused, squeezing her girlfriends hand tightly before placing a tender kiss on her lips. "I think you look attractive," she said warmly. "And way cuter that those two."
"Thanks," Ann smiled. "By the way, what did you tell those two about Gloria and the others?"
"That their friends from school," Jackie smirked. "Its not a lie. I just explained that the magic made it so that they remember me always being their age. Also, they not to weird out Gloria tonight, she's a little nervous you might tell her folks she was at this party." Ann chuckled, promising to try and not make her niece uncomfortable.
As Ann and Jackie now entered the clearing, they were surprised by how many students were there. "Wow big gathering," Jackie said in awe. Stephanie now grinned, a mischievous smirk on her face. "Well I don't know about you two," she grinned. "But I'm going to mingle. See if I can catch any of these boys attention."
"You sure thats a good idea Steph," Ann asked.
"Cmon Ann live a little," Stephanie grinned. "If I'm going to be 17 for the night, might as well see what these high school boys have to offer." Without another word, Stephanie now sauntered off to where a group of football players were standing, immediately catching their attention.
"I'll make sure she stays out of trouble," Megan sighed, Ann and Jackie nodding as they watched her run after Stephanie.
Now left to themselves, Ann and Jackie each grabbed a beer as they began to mingle amongst the crowd. Soon enough they spotted Gloria and the others. Waving they approached, Gloria looking nervous as she now tried to hide the cup of beer in her hand.
"Hey Jackie, hey Ann."
"You can relax Gloria," Ann chuckled. "I won't tell Lisa or your dad." Gloria sighed in relief, thanking her grown down aunt. "So who you here with," Jackie asked.
"Caleb," Gloria said happily. "But he ran off a bit ago. Not sure where he ran off too." Almost on cue the teenage hunter now emerged from the woods, a sheepiah look on his face.
"Hey where were you," Gloria asked.
"Sorry," he replied sheepishly. "I kinda had to handle some business for a sec." Gloria crinkled her nose, thinking her boyfriend had disappeared into the woods to pee instead of dispatching a group of vampires. Gloria now turned to her aunt, a feeling of awkwardness washing over her. "So um Caleb this is my Aunt Ann."
Caleb gave the waifish teenage girl an odd look before turning to Jackie and Gloria. "Magic," Ann stated. "I'm usually older."
Caleb simply nodded, tipping his hat as he smiled at the young Ann. "Pleasure to meet you Ms." Ann simply chuckled, thanking the polite young man.
As they now began to talk, Caleb began to wonder if he would ever get used to magic.
