You look and see a glass bottle of white liquid that looks a lot like milk. You ask the old woman about it, and she takes a look at it. “Ah of course, the milk jug…” she just nods and smiles. You ask her for more info and she just bids and smiles. You find it odd that a glass jar would be full of milk and laid out on a shelf that isn’t refrigerated. You give it your own personal check and find that it is cool to the touch, you shake it around to see if it’s viscous and you sigh in relief to find that it isn’t. You purchase it and leave the shop, curious to see what it taste like. You pop the cork and are hit with an odd sensation, the drink is suddenly heavy. You take another look at it, it’s still white, and still like milk. Just now it’s a very heavy liquid, like you’re carrying a gallon jug instead of a glass jar. You take a sip of it, you don’t feel anything. You swallow the sip and wait for a few minutes; nothing happens. It tastes kind of, off. You can’t quite describe it, it just doesn’t feel right to you. After a few minutes not drinking the white liquid, you find yourself craving more, so you pop the cork and drink a little bit more, actually swallowing a bit this time, and you notice something has changed. The liquid is a bit more viscous, and slightly salty, but still just as white as milk. It also sits on your stomach a bit more than usual, not filling you, but like you ate a snack. You put the cork back on it and set it aside, only for you to be feeling symptoms of withdrawal a minute later. With you hands shaking, you can barely uncork the bottle as you chug down the rest of the liquid. It’s noticeably thicker now, like a salty milkshake. You drink the whole bottle down as your stomach bloats out like a water balloon, feeling it swish inside as you move around. You stifle a loud, crass belch as you pay and rub your extended gut.
