Miles and Victor turned to their right and saw Jennifer Smith waving them to come over, along with her fellow cheerleaders Gina Torme, Kelly Band, Carla Cuse, and Karen Rimmington.
Miles and Victor shot each other a glance. Neither of them really WANTED to sit at the cheerleading table, but again, the two of them seemed to read each other's mind. Whatever force in the universe was doing it, be it Miles's Mom or some random wish or a cosmic force or whatever it was, made them sign up for cheerleading. Ergo... it was likely that this same force would force them to sit with the cheerleaders. With that glance, Miles and Victor made a decision: they were going to control their own destinies and decide to sit with Jennifer and company. That way, they might be able to keep their personalities for the moment and maybe have a bit of control over the situation.
"Be right there!" Miles yelled over. He once again glanced to Victor, who nodded back, indicating that this was the right choice. The two of them walked over to the Cheerleading Table, and set their trays down.
"So, you girls sign up yet?" Jennifer asked, with a smile.
"We sure did." Victor responded, before looking down at his squash and rice meal.
"We can't wait to see what you got!" Carla said.
"Yeah! It should be a blast!" Gina agreed.
"Oh yeah. We can't wait either." Miles said, in an unsure voice. He had no clue how this was going to go down.
Option 1: Miles and Victor discover that Jennifer is much different around her friends than her reputation implies, and find sympathy for Jennifer as she relays the tough elements of her life.
Option 2: Miles and Victor can't help but get caught up in the latest Cheerleader gossip.
