“No way!” The deer suddenly reached down and snatched the device away from the unexpecting human’s hand. “You’re not doing that shit in my place! Not a chance!”
“What is it?” Sam blinked several times, her analytical nature trying to make sense of what looked like an ordinary screen.
“Dude’s got a PTFD in his pocket.”
The pretty iguana’s eyes widened in shock and her jaw fell open. “Wait, what? Are you serious?”
“Hey!” Marcus giggled, half sloshed. “You should give that back! The lab doesn’t even know I stole it from the lock up, you know?”
“Marcus!” Brooke lectured sternly. “Do you have any idea how dangerous this is? How much trouble we could get into?”
“Wow,” Sam gaped in wonder. “Does it work?”
“Fully.” Marcus turned to the iguana, smirking to himself with smug satisfaction. “You want to try it out, scales?”
“Well, I...” Sam grinned excitedly. “I kind of want to!”
“No!” Brooke held the device up over her head and frowned. “Nobody is getting transformed in my joint! Not a chance!”
“Yoink.” The way taller lizard said simply, snatching the device out of Brooke’s hand and eliciting a gasp of horror from the deer.
“Sammy, wait! Don’t!”
“Huh.” The lizard blinked, tapping her claw on the now lit up screen. “This is pretty user friendly, isn’t it?”
“Right?” Marcus from from his stool excitedly and stood next to the lizard girl, helping her navigate the device.
“Stop it! Both of you!” Brooke insisted, stamping a hoof. “Put the damn thing away right now!”
Sam tapped something in and smirked. She turned to Marcus for his approval and he burst out laughing when he saw what she had told it to do.
“The green button?” The iguana asked.
“Yep, green button.” Marcus confirmed.
“Hey, I’m serious, guys!” Brooke finished in exasperation, jolting stiff suddenly in shock as the iguana pressed the button on the touch screen.
