“Wow Lilly, is that a new dress?” Holly asked.
“It looks cute on you,” Dan said, shyly.
Lilly blushed. She is known for obsessing over dresses and wearing them to school. While some thought she was weird, Dan was attracted to her.
“Thank you…” Lilly replied, shyly.
“Will you two lovebirds just get married already,” Max mocked the two.
“Quit it, they’ll get together when they are ready,” Kyle said.
As they walked to school, Lilly asked Dan, “hey so um, after school Clair is hosting this one party, and I uh, she said I could bring you. Can you come?”
“Well, my sister has her birthday, but me and her don’t get along. In fact, she’s being weird, like she wants to hurt me or something. I feel safer going to the party with you,” Dan said.
“Really? I mean… she is your family…”
“Just don’t worry about it. I think I’m going to ditch her birthday regardless. But I want to go to the party… with you”
Holly, Max, and Kyle were teasing the two behind their backs. “Wow, they really are lovebirds,” Kyle noted.
“Well, Dan just seems to be really supportive of her. I don’t know,” Holly suggested.
“Pffft, not just supportive. He always goes where Lilly goes. I think I’ve seen her wearing something other than a dress more times than I seen her without Dan by her side. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen her wearing anything other than a dress before.” Max said.
“Maybe she thinks he is one of her dresses,” Holly suggested. “That’s why she always takes him everywhere.”
“Don’t objectify my brother Dan like that,” Kyle laughed.
