With a devious grin, Amber changed “today” to “now”.
“No, I didn’t have any accidents today,” Terry replied. Promptly, a soft hiss sounded. Larry sighed. “…Never mind.”
“Honey, you really need to get it under control,” Larry chided. “Sure, Amber’s not ready to be potty-trained, but when she is, you having accidents will make it more difficult. I mean, how will she want to get out of diapers when her dad is still in one? She won’t see the point!”
“I know, I know,” Terry mumbled. “And I’m trying! It’s just- you know my parents never potty-trained me, and it’s something that is difficult to learn the more you wait.” Amber pouted. With both her parents working, there would be less attention on her. A few changes with the app, and Terry was now a stay-at-home dad, thanks to his lack of potty-training.
“I still can’t believe no one will hire you, just because you have to wear diapers,” Larry said, shaking his head. “It feels discriminatory.”
“Yes, but I can’t prove that’s the reason why,” Terry said. He looked back at Amber in the back seat. “At least it means I get to spend more time with little Amber, when I’m not job-hunting.”
What? That’s not what Amber wanted. Amber wanted a stay-at-home dad who would actually stay at home. She generated a new sentence.
“Terry wishes he could get a job.”
That was better. Amber’s mind was immediately filled with filthy possibilities. There were a million things she could change “job” to, but what?
