A distant cousin find the Journal of Facts

added by Unnamed A year ago O

A distant cousin of the McCoys was visiting with his family. A man unable to have children of his own, but had adopted two sons. It’s one of said sons, Amir White, who found the strange book in the room he was going to share with his younger brother.

Amir hated his adopted family. His father, David White, might be of mixed decent, granny White being of Maghrebian decent, just like Amir himself, David had mostly inherited traits from his father’s side, and somehow took it as a permit to be a racist prick. honestly, Amir couldn’t understand how peoples as nice and tolerant as his grand-parent could give rise to someone as wicked as his father was beyond him.

Then David dated a girl of the bitchy-princess kind during college, ended marrying her even though they couldn’t stand each other, adopted a first son, Amir, selecting him because adopting ‘someone like him’ would make them look good, since it was ‘in’ to be inclusive lately, only to abuse him morally, under the pretext it presumably was his origins causing of all their problems. (As if…)

Then came his brother. He too was an adopted kid, but he was as white skinned as their family name suggested, unlike him, so he was spared the abuse. In fact, he was even joining in it.

So when Amir found the book and read the instruction, he immediately wrote that as long as he lived, nobody would try to take the book from him, and he could wright all he wanted whenever he wanted in it without anyone ever criticizing him from it. Not that he believed any of the crap explained, but trying wouldn’t cost him anything, so it would be stupid not to.

Just as he had finished writing he saw his brother enter. Usually, he would have immediately taken whatever Amir had in hand, and do one of thee thin with it:
1- Find said something interesting and declaring himself its new owner, knowing he would be backed up by his parent.
2- Not be interested in it, but see Amir desperately trying to take it back, in which case he would shred or break the object just for the pleasure to make Amir sad. (With hope to see him cry.)
3- Not be interested in it, but see Amir relinquish it resignedly. Finding such a reaction boring he would just trow that something out the window.

This time he did nothing beside a comment about how lame the book looked. Most people would just have suspected their bully was simply tired after the long journey, but Amir knew better.
