Sammy woke up and just lay in bed for a little while just thinking about what happened last night... What the hell were those drugs? Joseph also seemed a little different... right? Feeling better Sammy got up and got dressed. It took her a few minutes to find Joseph, and he was in a slightly different place than she imagined he'd have been. He was in the garage lifting some dumbells.
"Um, Joe? You feeling alright?" Sammy asked
Joe chuckled and said "Feeling Great!" as he was curling the weights "Better than ever really." Sammy wasn't so sure though... Or well she was sure that he was feeling great... did he usually lift weights? She didn't remember him ever being that into lifting weights and... Maybe it was that swole thing people get when doing exercise like this, but his arms seemed a bit bigger than they should've been.
"How about we go back to that hormone store? I think it's important that we know what that stuff you took actually does."
Joe put down the dumbells carefully and said "If it'll make you feel better." It took them a second to get going as Joe took a quick rinse to get some sweat off. The two friends then ended up walking to the hormone store, and on the way Joseph grabbed Sammy's hand.
"What are you doing?" Sammy asked a little flustered. His grip was so firm and... his arms were more muscular than the last time she noticed...
"Do you not like it?" Joseph asked having taken a bit of a risk.
"I mean... just a little concerned. You're just acting a little different." Sammy stated
Joseph let go of Sammy's hand, but then put his arm around her shoulder "Come on Sammy, I like you. If this is making you uncomfortable just tell me."
"...it's not uncomfortable... I'm just worried about you."
"That's why we're going to the shop. We'll set your mind to ease." Then Joseph pulled back his arm, but regrabbed Sammy's hand. She didn't hate it though and held his hand as well.
The shop was open and as the friends entered Sammy saw the same lady at the register and asked "What the hell was in those pills you gave my friend?" somewhat angrily
The lady said "Ground up shark's teeth is the active ingredient, along with a small blend that increases hormone production."
Sammy just stared blankly for a second and asked "What?"
"Ground up shark teeth is the main ingredient. Helps with tooth production and strengthens the new teeth. Can't say what our proprietary blend has, but it just increases hormone production so your friend has slightly elevated levels of testosterone probably."
"Those were Steroids?!?"
"No, Steroids are man made hormones. Our herbs just make him make more testosterone naturally. All FDA approved, all side effects on the packaging. Makes him a bit more enthusiastic right?"
Sammy could feel Joseph grinning behind her and said "You could say that... He has been acting differently."
The lady chuckled and asked "Did he ask to be your boyfriend or something?"
Sammy blushed and Joseph came around to take a look at his dear friends face and then uttered the question "Well... wanna try?"
