Our protagonist starts their story as a human the night of energy pulse. She was just on her way home in the big city, and then she passed the wrong dark alleyway. Some deranged lunatic mugged, raped, and then started to stab her to death. Pain, Hatred, a hint of arousal, and the wish of death. Whose death? Just yes. Her own death to just end this painful murder, the death of her assailant, the death of that jerk who just broke up with her, the death of her family who abandoned her for dating that jerk, and then a list of lying backstabbers and politicians. Her heart having stopped and her brain starting to lose blood the magic pulse had reached her. Everything was just cold, but she could hear a little more clearly. Her assailant was now cooling down after having looted the body of his victim, chuckling over the cash she had in her wallet.
Hatred and Anger overcame the once woman as she lifted her dead body and moved towards her murderer. The man who was freaked out tried stabbing our protagonist in the head and managed to get her eye... but she didn't react as he pulled out the eye, and she didn't seem to have lost any vision. In the eye socket there seemed to be a faint glow as something burned in the corpse. The man then made a mistake as he tried tackling the woman. Her muscles were smaller than his and with his size he had been able to overpower the woman he had murdered, but the woman was no longer human. Her muscles were useless as magic itself was what powered and reinforced her body. The man himself also now had some magic in his veins, but not knowing how to use it was doomed as the undead grabbed back. The zombie then pushed him down and fell ontop of him. Face to face the zombie leaned in. If you ignored the unnatural paleness and bloody eyesocket her face was still pretty. It may have looked like she was going for a kiss until she beared her teeth and started to consume the man alive. First came his lips, and then when he started screaming she ate out his throat. It was a slow painful death, and while that made the once woman zombie happy it was more instinct that had kept the man alive. She just ate indiscriminately and didn't go for vitals.
That night many people had lost their humanity, but the now Zombie got a true taste of what that meant. Her body was now covered in stab wounds that would never close, she was covered in blood that was once hers and her victim's, and now she knew what the taste of living flesh tasted like... It was so much better than dead flesh like there was some magic spice to it. After learning of magic she presumed that she was feasting on magic as the actual flesh would do little for her in her current state.
Now in her actual senses she found her phone cracked, but functional somewhere on the mangled corpse and made a call "Yes... Could I make a call to the police..." her voice came out ragged, her body starting to decay, and her voice no longer really working like it once was. "...Yes there... I was stabbed to death, and then I ate my killer to death... I would like to be arrested." She very much started to disassociate from her original identity, and when she was taken in she had to be put in solitary. Who in their right mind would feel at all safe next to a zombie. Then again many prisons had to deal with "who would feel safe next to a monster?" this zombie didn't mind being put all by herself though. She'd just rot in here as someone may get some information on what exactly she was... A surge of anger and she started banging on the cage. She didn't know why, but she just felt angry and at the end sad as she looked at her hands which were now even more mangled. Her nails that were well manicured cracked and coated in blood. She then just sat and waited... and waited... and waited... then the doors to her solitary cell opened as...
