Lucy tried to take it off but it was no use. If the ring did what the voice said it would. She would have to be careful what she touches. She figured it wouldnt work if someone touched her or else would make some weird situations.
But she had to be careful. Touch wrong animal and she could spend next day in a petting zoo or some weirdo's pet...and she couldnt imagine if she touched them again.
