By now, the unicorn stallion had amassed enough collective magic to go on the offensive. Lowering his horn, he began to cast another spell. His five mares circled around him, touching their horns to his and causing its glow to increase.
Suddenly, a spherical bubble formed where their horns met and grew steadily larger. The sides of the bubble soon passed over the gathered herd without effect, but that soon changed when it made contact with the walls of the stall. Instantly, the wood panels evaporated as if being absorbed by the bubble.
Beyond the wall, a Clydesdale stallion that had once been a spoiled young noble named Henric looked up with surprise. With nowhere to escape, he could only shuffle nervously as the bubble engulfed him as well. To his surprise, the sensation turned out to be quite pleasant. He felt lighter now, small and graceful, and...magic? Opening his eyes, he saw a gleaming horn jutting from his head. A split second later, new knowledge filled his formerly dull horsey mind: how to use his magic, how to live in unicorn society, how to please her mate. Wait, her?
The newly formed unicorn glanced back. Sure enough, she was a mare now, and it felt wonderful! Gleefully, she joined her new herd and lent her power to strengthening the spell.
Meanwhile, the bubble continued to expand. Stall after stall vanished, as did the roof. The stable was being erased from the middle out! Soon enough, two identical mules also found themselves inside the bubble. Moments after, two identical unicorn mares had taken their place, the glow of their horns supporting the others. The rest of the horses followed suit, gifting the stallion with seven additional mates to bring the number up to twelve.
Soon, the stable was gone without a trace. Not even a footprint was left as vegetation reclaimed the bare ground. Grass and shrubs appeared, and trees sprang upward. There now stood a small patch of forest next to the inn.
