Caleb now pulled up to his house with Gloria, the young couple needed to make a quick stop before resuming their Saturday afternoon date. "So what do you need," Gloria asked.
"Just needed to check with my dad," Caleb stated. "The vampires have been kinda quiet lately. Before we go to dinner I wanted to double check to make sure their isn't something I need to do."
"Always working," Gloria smirked as she now made her way towards her boyfriend. "So is this dedication something I should get used to?"
"Well I have kinda taken over since dad was forced into semi retirement," Caleb shrugged. Gloria sighed, leaning her head onto Calebs chest. "Guess its something I'll have to get used to." As the two now made their way towards the house, Caleb paused. "Huh."
"What," Gloria asked.
"No I'm impressed," Caleb stated. "Looks like Connor finished his chores early."
"You know I've been meaning to ask," Gloria said. "Whats with the farm? I mean do your folks make money from selling everything you produce?"
"Its not big enough for that," Caleb chuckled. "No most of this is for us. The cows, the pigs, the chickens. We eat that, saves a fortune on groceries. Plus you'd be surprised how helpful horses can be on a hunt in the wilderness."
Gloria nodded, gazing out at the barn as she notices two young teens now having a snowball fight. "Guess Connor invited a few friends over," she said, pointing at the two girls. "But wheres Connor?"
Caleb and Gloria watched the two teens, continually searching for Calebs kid brother. Slowly though they realized that the two girls weren't Connors friends.
"Mom?!"
Lisa and Nina skidded to a stop, covered in snow and out of breath as they grinned at their children. "Hey guys," they exclamation happily.
"What happened? Whats going on?"
"We're having a snowball fight duh," Lisa giggled.
"Spark cast a spell," Nina added. "Accidentally got caught in its wake, so just making the most of it now." Caleb and Gloria stared slack jawed at their regressed mothers, unsure of what to say next. It was only the sound of a woman calling everyone in that drew the teenage couples attention. Caleb and Gloria staring at Spark in stunned silence.
"Hey Caleb," Spark waved. "You hungry? We got plenty to eat."
Caleb and Gloria said nothing, still processing everything. Nina and Lisa now exchanged an impish look, quickly making a pair of snowballs that struck the two older teens in the face. "Get the lead out you two," Nina laughed.
"Last one in has to do the dishes," Lisa smiled as she and Nina sprinted for the door. Gloria and Caleb now followed behind slowly, watching as the regressed women bounded up the stairs. "Take your shoes off before you come in," Spark lectured. "I just finished cleaning." Nina and Lisa groaned in acknowledgement, tearing off their boots as they sped for the warmth of the fire.
Caleb and Gloria now stood in the front doorway, staring in astonishment at what was transporting.
Spark appeared to have tried her hand at cooking. The fairy, now grown woman, had a more chaotic approach to cooking than Nina as the kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off. Caleb now watched as his now adult little brother approached Spark from behind, squeezing her in a tight hug before giving her a gentle peck on the cheek.
"Connor?"
"Oh hey little brother," Connor smirked. "Wasn't expecting to see you. You hungry? Spark cooked....alot."
"Uh I can see that," Caleb stammered, the teenage hunter now raising g an eyebrow as he gazed at his brother and fairy. "Is this permanent?"
"Naw spell ends at sunset," Connor stated. "So you want to hangout for dinner? We worked real hard to make dinner. Be nice to talk."
Caleb and Gloria now turned to one another, shrugging in acceptance as they entered Calebs home for what was going to be a very odd meal.
