Duke sighed as he now dropped the parts he was carrying. The teenage damphir and his sorceress girlfriend spending yet another Saturday at her father's repair shop.
"So let me get this straight," he stated. "Mrs. Moreland and Mrs. Turner got turned into 13 year olds by Spark, and not only were they okay with it but they want to do it again sometime?!"
"Thats what Gloria told me," Sasha shrugged as she now activated a lift, the car they were repairing now slowly ascending. "Apparently they had an epiphany afterwards. So, now Calebs little brother is dating Spark and Mrs. Turner is planning some girls night with Mrs. Moreland and a couple of their friends."
Duke simply shrugged, the whole magical age changing thing was still new to him. Since he and Sasha had started dating he hadn't seen her alter her age. "So here's a question why don't you ever alter your age," he smirked. I'm sure little Sasha was absolutely adorable."
Sasha furrowed her brow at her boyfriends teasing, playfully tossing a rag in his direction. "Yeah right," she chuckled. "I'll pass thank you. Besides little Sasha would probably end up giving you a noogie or a wet willy or something."
"Why would you do that to me?"
"Because I'm pretty sure little Sasha is way tougher than little Duke," Sasha smirked. "And trust me if I'm going back so are you mister."
"I'll chance it if it means I see you dressed as Snow White again," Duke laughed as Sasha now playfully began to fight with her boyfriend. For the teenage couple they savored these Saturdays. Duke didn't have a wrestling meet, meaning the couple would hang around Sashas fathers shop.
For Sasha it was job training, while she was considering college, she had her heart set on technical school, hoping to learn enough that she would be able to work at the shop full time after graduation. Duke though simply loved spending time with Sasha, even if the garage was rather cold in the winter.
"So is there any reason why we have to work in the cold," Duke asked as he rubbed his arms.
"You need the ventilation Duke," Sasha stated. "And its not THAT cold. Besides we have space heaters and your a damphir for crying out loud. Aren't you immune to the cold or something?"
"I'm immune to sunlight and silver Sasha not the elements."
"Sasha!"
Sasha now turned, watching her father now poke his head into the garage. "Whats up dad?"
"Guy just came in looking to have some work done," he said. Sasha gave her father a oddlook, she was in the middle of changing out brakes on their latest customer. Joe Sampson, sensing his daughters confusion now elaborated. "Figured you'd be excited to work on a Mercedes."
"Of course," Sasha said excitedly. "But what about this one?"
"I'll finish up," Joe stated. "Why don't you and Duke go talk with the guy in the front." Sasha nodded, thanking her dad as the two teens now sprinted to the front lobby. As Sasha now reached the front desk, she saw a well dressed man with brown hair in his mid forties. The man gave the teens a warm smile as they now approached.
"Hi what can I help you with," Sasha asked.
"Just some minor maintenance," the man stated. "Tune up, oil change, maybe some new spark plugs. My brother recommended this place."
"Oh cool whats his name?"
The man said nothing, instead focusing his gaze on Duke. The damphir beginning to feel uncomfortable under his gaze. "Huh wouldn't of believed it unless I saw it with my own eyes," the man said.
"Um excuse me," Sasha said loudly. "But who are you and what are you doing here?"
The man said nothing, digging into his pocket as he handed Sasha a card. Quickly snatching it she now studied it carefully. "What is this?"
"The security company I own," the man said. "I'm a software programmer. Wanted to make video games when I was young but instead ended up programming security systems. But when my brother told me about an actual damphir he met I just had to see for myself."
Duke now went slightly pale as Sasha stepped in front of her boyfriend, her ring beginning to glow as she readied a spell. "Okay who the hell are you!"
"Sorry," the man chuckled, raising his hands to show he wasn't a threat. "Didn't mean to worry you. Jacob said there were wizards here to but I didn't believe him."
"Jacob," Duke asked.
The man nodded, extending his hand as he now gave the two teens a friendly smile. "Yeah my older brother," he said. "My names Rick Moreland. I'm in town to help my brother out."
