A quick call to Gloria, and an even quicker ride to the Moreland home, found Sasha and Duke arriving with Jacob Morelands younger brother. As Sasha now parked her bike, she could see Jacob, Caleb, and Gloria waiting for them on the front porch.
"Rick," Jacob smirked as the thinner man now approached. "How was the trip?" Rick's smile faltered as his gaze fell on his older brothers missing arm. "Wow Jake," he whispered. "They really did a number on you."
Jacob smirked, useing his good arm to now place his kid brother in a headlock. "Its looks worse than it is," he chuckled. "And I'm still quick enough to beat ya little brother."
Rick now freed himself, a frown on his face as he smoothed his thick hair. The younger man now casting an impish smirk at his larger brother. "See it hasn't changed your disposition ya ass," he chuckled.
"How you been Uncle Rick," Caleb smiled as he now hugged the man.
"Pretty good," he replied, examining the teenage hunter. "Damn Caleb your growing like a weed. Can only imagine what Connor looks like."
"Hes hanging out with some friends today," Caleb replied. "But he should be back later."
"Sup Rickster!"
"Spark," Rick exclaimed happily as the tiny nude fairy now emerged from Calebs pocket. The two fist bumping as he smiled at the fairy. "How you been? My brother hasn't been working you too hard has he?"
"Actually working with this one now," Spark stated, pointing her thumb at Caleb. Rick nodded, narrowing his eyes as he studied the fairy. "You lose weight or get a haircut Spark? You look different."
Spark blushed, quickly answering no as the group made their way inside. She was still growing younger at a very slow rate. The entire process of matching Connor would take weeks, perhaps monthes. Spark had noticed recently the physical changes, her face rounding, her breasts becoming smaller and perkier, even her curves slowly melting away. Now though, the changes were beginning to become obvious to others.
As they now entered the kitchen, Nina looked up from the stove. Stepping away she now approached her brother in law giving him a tight hug. "Good to see you," she said. "Glad you could come."
"Well with everything you told me Nina sounded like you could use the help."
"What help Uncle Rick," Caleb asked.
Rick now motioned towards the table, the group now taking their seats as Rick pulled out his laptop. "Your folks told me about the trouble you've been having with the vampires," Rick said. "Since this started I've been working with your dad to try and track the vampires movements."
"What else did they tell you," Gloria asked.
"That Caleb was dating a real nice girl," Rick smirked. "A girl that happened to be a wizard with ALOT of wizard friends. Plus an unlikely allie in the great grandson of Dracula."
Duke now blushed slightly, rubbing the back of his neck as Sasha crept closer to him. "So are you going hunting Uncle Rick," Sasha asked, furrowing her brow.
"Jacob was the hunter in the family," Rick grinned. "Although I am pretty good with a crossbow. No, I'm here mostly to help out Nina and my brother. Also to give you guys a more 'high tech' approach to dealing with the vampires."
Gloria and the others nodded, some extra help would be appreciated. The sound of the doorbell ringing now caused Nina to jump. "I'll get that why don't you finish up her Rick," she said as she now quickly left the room.
Rick shrugged, punching in a few keystrokes as he now turned the screen to face the others. "I've been punching in information on the vampires since Jacob came into town," he said. "Recording sightings, nests, and any suspicious police reports."
Gloria and the others now studied the screen. Immediately they noticed numerous dots throughout a map of the town. "Geez that's alot," Sasha stated.
"These all occurred in the first few months after the vampires came to town," Rick said. Rick now punched in several other key strokes, the teens watching as several more dots now seemed to spread out from the town into adjacent cities. "Whats that," Gloria asked.
"Recent activity," Rick said. "From the looks of it the vampires are on the move." Gloria and the others now nervously glanced at one another. They may have made their home safe but the vampires were now spreading in places the wizards weren't.
"Jacob Dr. Harris is here."
Rick, Jacob and the others now glanced up as they noticed Dr. Julia Harris standing with Nina. Rick's eyes went wide as he gazed at the attractive leggy doctor.
"Julia," Nina smirked. "This is my husband's brother Rick." Julia now gave the handsome business a small smile as she approached. "Nice to meet you," she said softly.
"Julia is Jacobs doctor," Nina said quickly. "I asked her to stop by today to check on Jacob." Jacob now cast his wife a curious look, which she tried to ignore. "Julia why don't you two talk," she said. "I'm sure Rick has questions about his brothers treatment."
As the two now exited the kitchen Jacob approached his wife, a small frown on his face. "What are you up to Nina?"
"Just introducing Julia to your brother."
"And the fact that Rick is single has nothing to do with it," Jacob grumbled. "Cmon Nina he's 45, Julia is what 36?"
"And?"
Jacob sighed, he wasn't going to win this argument. Nina was determined to play matchmaker with his brother and Dr. Harris.
