Dating, mind links, and babysitting

added by O A year ago A O Anthro Magic Mental

Samantha frowned as she and her husband Mike now scanned the snowy grounds of the graveyard. "You know when you said let's go out I wasn't expecting this."

"Cmon Sammy," Mike grinned. "Wheres your sense of adventure. Besides, its not like we get a chance to hangout with everyone very often."

"True," Samantha sighed. "But I was hoping for a romantic dinner or something." Mike simply smiled, walking towards his wife before placing a comforting arm around her. "I'll make it up to you Sammy. I mean it looks like the season is postponed for awhile, we probably have plenty of nights together."

*can everyone hear me?*

"Mary," Samantha said in alarm. "Was that you?"

*Yeah its me Sammy. I established a neural link so we can communicate. Think of me as your magical dispatch.*

Samantha seemed genuinely surprised by her friends abilities, now turning once more to her husband. "Did you know she could do that," she asked, to which her husband replied no. "So what now then Mike. What did you and Katie do when she took you vampire hunting?"

"I was thinking you transform," Mike stated. "Maybe scout ahead. Get a better look from the sky. Besides, like seeing you when you look like a sexy Amazon with wings."

"We can hear you," a voice now yelled from the other side of the graveyard. Samantha and Mike blushed as the young brunette now frowned. "Hey no eavesdropping Claudia," she called. "That was between me and Mike!"

"We're telepathically linked Sammy," Claudia yelled back. "Anything you say or think we all hear." From her house, Mary Elise now sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as Claudia and Samantha began to argue. "Girls," she said, her voice traveling to her friends who were miles away. "Can we focus on finding this nest of vampires please."

"I am focused Mary," Claudia replied. "And whats with the cloak and dagger stuff? Aren't we trying to draw attention to ourselves?"

"Because we need to be in position Claudia," Mary Elise stated. "Sammy and Katie are our heavy hitters. I want them to be near when thw vampires attack."

"Heavy hitters," Claudia yelled indignantly "I can transform into an 8 foot flaming tiger avatar with super demon strength! How am I not a heavy hitter?"

"Claudia," Mika sighed. "Let it go honey. Please." Claudia continued to grumble as Mary Elise now took a deep breath. "The more things change the more they stay the same."

"Katie, Kellie," Mary Elise asked, trying to get her friends on task once more. "How are you two doing?"

"All clear on this end," Katie replied. "We're heading towards the center to meet up with the others." Mary Elise sighed, telling the couple to proceed and to keep her posted.

As Katie and Kellie now continued, Kellie paused as she scanned the graveyard. It was far too quiet, causing the young lawyer to feel a great deal of apprehension. If her wife hadn't been by her side she felt would have turned and sprinted from this place. Still, she needed to talk if for no other reason than to keep her mind off the fact she was hunting vampires. "So how do you think Morgan is doing?"

"I'm sure Morgan is fine," Katie smiled. "Dont worry, Naomi and Diane are both really good babysitters plus you know what a sweetheart Morgan is."

"Okay true," Kellie stated. "But they're watching ALL the kids tonight. Do you think it might be a bit too much for them?"

Katie shook her head, giving her wife a reassuring smile. "Dont worry so much Kellie they got this. Trust me."

"Nomi!!! Haley just hit me!"

Naomi groaned turning as Lynne now pointed at the kintaro toddler. The two girls appeared to have been fighting over a stuffed animal, which Lynne was now holding. The red haired toddler now useing her magic to hold her attacker at bay. Unfortunately, Haley didn't appear to be happy with Lynnes magic or being told on as she now tried to hit Lynne over the head with an inflatable hammer.

"Haley no hit," Naomi cried, reaching down and picking up the anthro toddler. Haley now began to squirm, hitting Naomi before bursting into tears.

"I think you bit off a bit more than you could chew."

Naomi now glanced up at Diane, the raven haired teen holding Yuriko as her brother Tommy followed behind her. Naomi could only sigh, her parents had gone out to dinner, leaving the teen with babysitting eight magical toddlers. "Okay so its a bit much," she relented. "But, it's nothing we can't handle. Besides I got help on the way."

Diane simply rolled her eyes, she loved Naomi but sometimes the girl just couldn't admit defeat. It was both a strength and a weakness the her. Diane now watched as she clutched Haley to her side as she answered the front door. "Hey guys thanks for coming over!"

Felicia and Adam simply gawked as they gazed at the magical daycare that Naomi appeared to be running. "Naomi?"

"Dont worry," Naomi smiled. "Everything is going to be okay."
