Olivia decided to take a picture of both Rick and herself. Her mother Emily was always too hard on the poor Rick, and she thought that maybe after taking a picture with the camera and adding some funny effects could lighten up the mood a little, it was worth a shot (never said better).
Over by the table, Rick was making sure to do an excellent job cleaning up the table. He really needed to get Mrs. Smith's good side fast. Not only because he was dating her daughter, Olivia, but he also really felt something needed to be done about the camera. Rick felt that they couldn't just leave a reality altering device just lying around. "Even if it was hidden, some idiot could get a hold of it." Rick thought. "We should use it for good before we lose it or it gets used in a way we didn't intend for."
Emily, meanwhile, was equally frustrated. She just wanted to keep this device out of everyone's hands. It was far too powerful and this young man was being unreasonable. They just needed to hide it forever. That when Rick said something, in a bit of a whisper.
"Mrs. Smith can we at least tell your daughter?" Rick pleaded.
Mrs. Smith looked enraged. "Absolutely no- ybe we should tell her, even if it's only to make sure she doesn't use it." Said Emily to her ten years old Daughter Rachel. Under normal situations, Emily would have never agreed to tell that to her other daughter Olivia, but after it was her twin sister the one that found the camera originally with her and she was already aware of everything it could do, perhaps it was better to just tell her before Rachel talked to much and made everything worse.
"Are you for real Mommy!? Yey!" Said Rachel with a smile, happy that her sister will get to know -and maybe use- that cool camera they found before.
"BUT!" Said Emily, not wanting her daughter to think she could just do anything she wanted. "Even if we are going to tell her, that camera is very dangerous, and you and your sister aren't allowed to use it, understand?"
"But mom..." Tried to say Rachel as an attempt to convince her mother playing with the camera.
"No buts young lady!"
As they were talking, Olivia walked over with a cute but frustrated look on her face. Emily froze as she saw her daughter holding the camera, but Rachel looked excited and happy for that.
"Sis! You got the cool camera!"
"Rachel, quiet!" Said Emily, trying to keep her cool in the situation. "H-honey, that thing is not for little kids like you to use... can you be a good girl and give it to mommy, please?"
Olivia looked surprised at what she had just heard. She thought that cool camera was a funny toy, but apparently she was not supposed to play with it. Not wanting to be rude, Olivia decided to hand the camera to her mother, but suddenly...
