Turning back to you, i smile. "Hey, You know what? Lets enjoy ourselves here, we can split things off so we can enjoy anything we want whenever we want.. Why don't we go relax and have a little fun here a little? After all that, i'm feeling a bit hungry! Lets have a bite!" I say back to you, and you return a nod.
Charles, within this morning seems to shake himself off of the ideas a bit. "Yeah.. That sounds awesome. Lets have a cookout! Lets go all out, lets have like bbq burgers! Ooh! I even think we might have a bbq oven somewhere. You know when it smokes.. The burgers and the meat you cook over get this delightful char... I love the taste of it.. For some reason.. I can't help but wonder.. Why i didn't think of it sooner.. But i guess.. it seems like it's something that'd be really hard to pilot around with paws!" Charles laughs out, and begins to bring out the grill.
He sets out the charcoal briquettes into a strange steel cylinder looking chimney that looks basket ball sized. "This is a Chimney lighter, you toss some newspaper into it underneath and some charcoal briquets on the vents up top.. The flames at the bottom of the burning newspaper helps start up the hard to light charcoal, and then we get that delicious Mesquite and hickory smoke flavor when we toss it into the grill!" roars Charles, setting out a arranged smorgsaboard of all kind of meat options..
There's juicy german Bratwursts.. Giant throbbing sausages with tons of flavor that shoot out tons of juicy oil when you bite into them with rich meaty tastes, their casings even natural so you get a wonderful snap with each bite.. Then there's cheddar jalapeno stuffed burgers with pepperjack cheese to go on top.. One deseeded to take out all the heat while keeping the peppers..
The other side with twice the seeds and some ghost pepper extract since Anthony thought everyone else was a wimp!!!
We all laugh and gather around the campfire, it's getting dark, but we can see the roasting charcoals light and dance into the air.. The shadowy light of the moonlit sky casts a dark shadow as our once green and vibrant forest campsite turns into a moonlit expanse..
Moonlight trickles through the air as we all laugh and sit around burgers, brats, and even some more items like steaks and little quiches and some more comfort foods for the tamer delights.. Little bagel pizzas, shishkabobed chicken skewers with purple, white, and red onions and three colors of peppers, piles of barbeque sauce, and teriyaki, and exotic hoisin sauces and hot chili oil and hot sauce are piled around.
Anthony gets into a talk and laughs over how pink Charles got when they talked about the cougars earlier.. "I keep telling you! I'm NOT gay!" flushes a red Charles.. "I'm straight.. And i'm not sure i understand why you're so interested in my sexuality.." grins Charles.. "But i'm definitely not into you!"
"Oh.. I am flattered, but.." says Anthony, "Oh i was just teasing with ya.. But i do think you'd make a wonderful cougar boy.. maybe even a cuntboy.. Wouldn't you?" he teases and Charles turns red and slaps him with a newspaper. "BAP, BAD FRIEND. GO BACK TO HORNY JAIL!" he laughs out, before getting back into another arm wrestling fight. This time, Charles wins, but it's not before his smug smile is replaced by a packet of the ghost pepper hot sauce that his face pales.
"Oh hey, i dare ya! Prove it! If you're a man, you can take this!" Anthony howls, buckling it down.
"Oh yeah! That's it Baby? I bet i can take Twice as much as you!?" Charles snorts!
Anthony doubles down "Oh yeah, i bet i can too!"
"OH yeah little sissy? Why don't you prove it!?!?" Charles snips
"Oh you bet i WILL, JUST YOU WAIT!" Anthony, egged on retorts!
Both of them go down to the plate while the crowd laughs and eats their burgers and brats. The juicy meat slides down and gives a wonderful meaty feeling, it's fresh, juicy, and some of the ground beef flavors seem accentuated with a little extra beefy flavor of some extra beef bouillon mixed in to give a richer flavor.. The char of the burgers with the mesquite smoke adds a nice and juicy flavor hinted with smoke.. You can't pick out quite what makes smoke smoke and so delicious on a burger.. But it's like the difference that makes a rich and meaty soy sauce completely differentiated from bland tofu.. Even though they're still technically the same thing..
Turning back to Anthony and Charles.. The others are egging on each other to try as much ghost pepper sauce as possible.. This turns out to be a bad idea, because no matter who could handle more in the beginning or end, both of them are nearly shooting flames out of their asses and mouths for the next few days. Every time they go to the bathroom, the afterburns of the searing pits of lava leave them screaming again as the oversaturation of heat taken burns even their bums with each shit.. Certainly not the greatest idea in the middle of a forest where the closest thing to a toilet in the scenic woods is akin to a forest poop hut!
After days of laughing and time later, Anthony is already ready to suggest using it as lube. Charles thinks Anthony is a moronic idiot. Yet they both laugh as good friends, as everyone enjoys their time in the wilderness. Our bellies full, going to rest next to a warm and sparkling campfire, and eating roasted marshmallows and having contests around the fire to see who can get them the most golden brown and crispy.
{Anthony.. Once more.. Joking around and lighting his on fire and calling them flaming meteors, is soon banned from all the girl camps and the park ranger's attention for being a walking flaming marshmallow flinging fire hazard.}
It seems like a peaceful night, all of us just relaxing as our worries slip away.. Nothing more than taking a break, a escape from the busy duties of life, as we all enjoy our break once more..
