Mary woke up early the next morning eager to look for more changes. She ran to the bathroom to look over her body. During the night, her ears had grown even larger and rounder. They stuck further out from under her hair, and had shifted to face more forward. Running a hand through her hair, Mary could see that it had darkened slightly from its normal brown, some strands even looking black. Her locks had shortened from midback to her shoulders.
On her shoulders were dustings of very short soft dark brown hairs. To the causal observer it would appear to be nothing more than peach fuzz, but Mary knew it was the beginning of her fur. Her feet appeared larger and somewhat wider, her toes all longer than before, with the big toes having slid a small ways down her arches. Flexing them, she could tell they felt slightly more dexterous than before.
She looked her nose, finding it a bit flatter than when she went to bed. Her jaw looked a little larger, and seemed to press forward a bit. She opened her mouth and examined her teeth - they all appeared slightly larger and more prominent, with her canines being even longer and sharper. She felt her back, and was disappointed to find that she still had no tail. She lifted her shirt. Her breast were slightly smaller, but as she examined herself, she noticed with satisfaction some slight muscle tone had worked its way around her arms, core and legs.
Mary was pleased, but not content. She wanted to push the changes even further. She really wanted to have a tail to play with. Without hesitation she sipped more of the vial, drinking a larger dose this time.
Mary paced the apartment, eager for her next set of changes. She tried to find something to do around her apartment, but nothing seemed to hold her attention. She looked out the window to the park outside her apartment building, her eyes spotting the forest path. A stroll through the trees! she thought, the idea appealing to her much more than it normally would. Just what I need to pass the time.
But can I really go outside like this? she thought. She looked herself carefully over in the mirror. Her ears were strange, but they weren't yet outside the bounds of looking human and she could mostly hide them with her hair. Otherwise, nothing seemed so odd that she wouldn't be able to pass herself off as a human. She quickly got dressed, choosing a mauve sweater and black leggings to wear, accompanied by a black beanie to help hide her ears. Her newly changed feet felt tight and uncomfortable in her socks and white sneakers, but with some effort she was able to successfully put them on. After a quick second look in the mirror, she headed out to enjoy the park.
