Samantha didn't seem to think it was great at all. "Why didn't you warn me? I don't want to be a mermaid!"
"It's okay, you just have to take off the top and you'll turn back," said Amanda.
"Oh great, so I get to be a slimy sea creature unless I do a striptease for your boyfriend? No more games! Just turn me back!" I didn't want to upset her, so I wished her back to humanity.
Amanda was unhappy to see her friend so angry. "I'm sorry, I guess I assumed you'd be as excited as I was. Is there any way to make it up to you?"
Samantha was already climbing out of the pool. "Forget it, I'm not sure I trust you. Just make me bigger and tell me where my clothes are." She seemed really upset.
"How about we trust you then? Joey, why don't you let her make the next wish?"
I hesitated. "Are you sure? Maybe when she's calmed down first."
"Oh come on, Samantha's my friend. I promise you can trust her."
"Okay... I wish that Samantha's next wish will come true, whatever it is."
