The parking lot was mostly empty and the place itself seamed empty. The old southern mansion was up on a large hill up a stone driveway which once was used by horses. A ticket booth sat at the end of the driveway where people would buy tickets for the haunted tour but the booth was empty.
“Kind of creepy.” Said Kaitlyn looking at how few of cars there where and the almost no sign of life.
“Not really, it is the off season.” Confirmed Ruth as she pointed toward a sign on the window of the booth.
“Free self-guided tours today.”
“During their slow period, they pretty much open the place up to the general public for free on certain days. I expect they believe the gift shop will earn them enough on those days.” Explained Ruth “They have some staff walking around I imagine but we can go wherever we want.”
“Is that why to wanted to come here today?” inquired Chyna as Ruth nodded. “Fine by me, more money to spend at the bar later.”
“More likely we will run into a ghost or monster.” Stated Kaitlyn as she grabbed a paper map as the three of them started up the walkway. “I mean how often do they appear to a large group, they always appear to people by themselves or in small groups.”
The map had multiple sites marked and even what monster was said to haunt that area.
