He thought it was better to be safe than sorry and it could make for a funny selfie, at worst. John slipped on his swim trunks and placed the valve against his belly button, holding it in place. He felt vaguely ridiculous doing this in front of the mirror, but once the ten seconds were up, he felt a slight sucking sensation and a plastic sheen began to spread from the valve.
He stared in disbelief for a moment before trying to pull the valve off. He quickly stopped once he realized that maybe opening an air valve attached to him was a bad idea. The sheen covered his stomach and chest and his not inconsiderable gut was sucked flat and formed into abs, full of air, matched with a pair of large pectorals. He couldn’t help but make a huge grin…before discovering his expression seemed stuck in a goofy smile. His arms and legs bulked up as the plastic spread over them and his swim trunks slicked down and fused with it as well. His head rounded out into a caricature of his original face, with a huge goofy grin forever plastered on it. He felt very light-headed but amazing, but he began to topple over slowly, not having any control over his new pool toy body, and the valve caught on the side of the sink, popping open.
The feeling of the air rushing out felt amazing, like nothing he’d ever felt, but his thoughts moved slower and slower as he sank to the ground until he just felt a general haze of bliss.
