Two blocks away from the school was a small store that the teens would frequently visit after school.
The owner of the store was a small old man called Bruce’s, don’t let Bruce’s appearance fool you, he was mean and often shouted at his customers.
The teens walked into the store and noticed it was empty, they started walking though the aisles and started grabbing food they wanted to purchase.
“Where’s Bruce at” said Ricky.
“Maybe he’s finally gone” said Colin with mouth full of chips.
“Don’t talk with your mouth open” said Ricky.
The teens continued to walk around the store until they walked into the alcohol section, the teens looked around in awe of all the different types of alcohol.
“Damn look at all this beer” said Karl who was looking at all the crates of beer.
“There’s so many types of alcohol” said Colin who’s eyes were darting back and forth, from the vodka section to the whiskey section.
“Have you guys ever tried it before” said Ricky but before they could respond Bruce spotted them and walk towards them.
Bruce’s face was scrunched up and mean looking “what the hell are you kids doing in this section” he shouted.
“We’re just having a look” said Lucas.
“Why the hell would a bunch of 12 year olds be interested in alcohol” said Bruce.
“We’re 14 actually” said Ricky.
“Girl what are you doing here, shouldn’t you be interested in baking and dresses not boys and alcohol” said Bruce.
Ricky brushed off Bruce’s sexist comment as he’s not a girl and it didn’t insult him.
“Calm down bro” said Karl.
“I’ll be calm once you leave my store” said Bruce.
“Gladly” responded Lucas as he and the others dropped their food on the floor and began walking out.
“Hey you, you have to pay for these half eaten chips” yelled Bruce at Colin.
Colin throw a dollar bill at Bruce and walked out.
The boys stood in a alleyway near Bruce’s store.
“That guy is such a dick” said Karl.
“I wish we could buy that beer to rub it in his face” said Karl.
Ricky pulled the device out of his handbag “we still can, we can use the device to make one of us 21” said Ricky.
“That’s a great plan but are we going to age up” said Colin.
