It was dark when Stevie woke up. Shit, she'd slept too long, she was supposed to be at work! She got up too fast, and tripped over the legs of her sweatpants, hitting the floor of her apartment with a thud. Curiously though, it didn't hurt! As she pushed herself up, she realized the sleeves of her Dad's hoodie were too long. "What the fuck?"
Her voice sounded strange. Higher pitched, maybe? As she stood, she felt her sweatpants sliding off her hips. She pulled them up, and shuffled to the bathroom, where she flipped on the lights. And gasped when she saw herself in the mirror.
A pretty young teen stared back at her with a shocked expression on her young face. Her hair was a little more red, and her eyes were definitely blue-grey. She even had a few freckles across the bridge of her nose.
"No fucking way!" She pulled off her hoodie and her old Evanescence concert shirt. Her bra was loose on her chest, as her breasts had obviously shrunk in size. She'd been a late bloomer and hadn't had anything for breasts until she was 15. Now she was definitely a AA cup! Unhooking her bra, she touched her breasts. The nipples were pink, and holy shit, where they sensitive!
Like, the instant she touched them, she left out a soft gasp of pleasure!
She quickly stripped naked to see the rest of her body. Her legs were slender and coltish, and her pubic hair had receded completely. She blushed, remembering how the other girls would tease her in P.E. about that.
Her birthday wish had...come true? It was impossible, but unless she'd lost her mind, she was a kid again! There was only one thing she could do, she had to get someone to verify this.
Glancing at the electric clock she kept in the bathroom, she saw it was almost 3. If she hurried, she could catch Lisa at Good Brews! A part of her wondered how it was she had so few close friends that she immediately thought of the teenaged barista, but whatever.
She quickly rifled through her closet, finding her tightest pair of jeans. They were...not so tight, but with a belt they'd stay on at least. She rolled up the pant cuffs, put on a baby-t that used to show off her belly button, but now covered her entire upper torso, ran a brush through her hair, and put her shoes on with an extra pair of socks.
She put on one of her hoodies, which was still big on her (she had to be a good 6" shorter than before- got to love that late growth spurt she'd had) and ran out the door. Holy shit, she felt good! She ran like the wind, her body feeling amazingly light- she used to love to run, until life had given her C cup breasts, which weren't the biggest, to be sure, but unless she wore a sports bra (which she hated) they weren't terribly comfortable while running.
She ran into the store, barely breathing hard. Had she really had this much stamina?
A slightly more tired Lisa greeted her. "Good afternoon...wait, Stevie? You look different..."
"Hold that thought. Can I turn the sign over? I need you to tell me I've gone crazy."
Lisa blinked but then nodded. Stevie locked the door and turned the sign around to read CLOSED. Then she walked up to the counter.
"How old do I look to you?"
Lisa gasped. "This is a joke...right? You're Stevie's little sister or something?"
Stevie shook her head. "No, it's me alright. I had a slice of that cake and bam! I was out like a light. I woke up and I was like this!"
"That's not possible..." Lisa was floored. "You look like you're 12!"
Stevie laughed. "Probably more like 13. I was a real late bloomer. Oh my God, this is nuts!"
"What are you going to do?" Lisa asked.
"I have no idea! I can't go to work like this! I can't drive...even if my tires weren't slashed." Stevie made her way to a chair to sit down.
Lisa joined her, looking worried. "The cake did this? I could call the owner, maybe there was some weird ingredient...or I could take you to the hospital..."
"Oh man, I don't know." Stevie put her head in her hands. Lisa pulled her chair closer and put her arms around the shrunken girl.
After a few minutes, Stevie calmed down. "Thanks. I know we're not really friends, but I appreciate it. A hug feels pretty good, actually."
"I'd be happy to give you a hug anytime. And maybe we're not friends, but we could be, right?" Lisa smiled.
"I'd like that." Stevie smiled back.
"So how does it feel? Being young again?" Lisa asked.
"Oh fuck, it feels great, to be honest! I feel so light...I have so much energy...if I didn't have so much stuff to worry about, I'd probably be enjoying this!"
Lisa seemed thoughtful. "Hey, let's make a deal. You let me worry about everything, ok? Why don't we do something fun?"
Stevie blinked. "But.."
Lisa put her finger over Stevie's lips. "This is a miracle right? This sort of thing doesn't happen every day. And you deserve a happy birthday. Come on, what do you really want to do?"
Stevie found herself blushing. Lisa was...really cute.... "Um, ok. Well, how do you feel about..."
