You and your girlfriend where both knocked out and couldn’t do anything as men and women in gas masks carried you out of the bubble-like trap. The men and women all where members of a small group of followers of Mr. Ebony Davenport’s plan to save humanity by turning a small group into mermaids and mermans and send them to a discovered ocean in the center of the earth. There they would be safe from any disaster which fell on the rest of humanity.
These people where truth believers, so they thought they where actually helping you and your girlfriend even you would have fought them if you where awake. They placed you and your girlfriend on carts, slipping on an arm band with information on you, including what mermaid/merman you were going to become.
Once done they rolled you onto a special semi-trailer with built in racks capable of stacking four people high. You were placed on one rack with your girlfriend placed above you. You two where actually the last two on this semi which was then closed, more knock out gas pumped into the air tight hold before the truck was pulled away and another one was packed up to the loading dock.
The truck moved down the streets and onto the highway without being noticed by anyone. It was just one semi-truck in a sea of the same type of trucks which populated the roads.
Hours later, the semitruck joined a column of trucks heading toward what looked to be an oil supertanker which sat at the dock. The semi-truck packed up to a covered dock as more followers of Mr. Ebony awaited them. The doors opened as they began to unload the trucks.
The ship may have looked like a super tanker, but the inside was very different, there where thousands of 16 foot high glass tubes set up in row upon rows. Some of the tubes where already filled with people who had been stripped of their cloths and were wearing masks over their faces and with feed/medical lines attached to their arms. The ones who had been there the longest already had the first changes happening to their bodies, scales growing in and their legs, merging into a single limb.
Your body came to a stop beside one tube, where a small team of people where waiting. They cut away your cloths putting away any personal items, jewelry and the like, items that the person may want once they finish transforming. Any phones had their information downloaded before being sent out to be destroyed. Once you where nude they placed your body into the tube and affixed the mask over your nose and mouth keeping you knocked out. They attached lines to your arms, one was a feeding tube to keep you feed while you were transformed and the other was a medical line incase they needed to give you any medicine. Once done they closed the tube as what looked to be water began to fill the tube.
In truth it wasn’t water, not fully it was high oxygenated water mixed in with nanites which will go into every part of your body changing your very cells. Changing your very body, your organs, your very blood and of course your very DNA into that of a merperson. Beside you in a matching tube your girlfriend was loaded into a tube and the process began on her as well.
You two where only two of the thousands of people being loaded today, while a large number where there by force some had been choose to follow Davenport in his plans. It didn't mater either way, the process was the same and before the sun had risen the ship was full. Once full two tug boats, not knowing what was really on this massive ship helped pull the massive ship out to sea toward a waiting transport to the underground ocean where Mr. Davenport planned for you and everyone else here and on other ships live in a new garden of Eden. You had just left land behind as your transformation began.
