Janet then turned to face the living room, only to find the front door entrance instead. Janet chuckled at her forgetfulness.
"Oops, wrong way. Oh dear me, I'm haven't lasted a minute into this place and I've already gotten myself mixed-up."
Janet then turned around and walked towards the living room. When she got there, Janet found all the furniture placed in the reversed of where they normally would be.
"My, this will be quite difficult to get use to."
Janet then walked over to the lounge chair and prepared to sit in it, seeing if it felt anything like her other chair. But as soon as Janet fully sat down, she heard a woman's voice coming from the chair itself and yelling at her.
"HEY! GET OFF OF ME!"
Janet immediately got to her feet and turned to see the lounge chair shifting and now possessing a face on its upper half. Janet stared in shock.
"Oh my goodness, you're alive." Janet said.
"Of course I'm alive. And I don't like being sat on by very rude girls like yourself." The lounge chair said.
Janet instantly felt ashamed at herself as soon as the chair told her that she was a very rude girl and tried to apologize.
"I am so truly sorry about that Ms. Chair. Please forgive me. You see I just arrived here and-" Janet tried to say, but Ms. Chair interrupted her.
"And that made it okay to sit on me?"
"Well no, I realize that now. But considering furnitue don't usually talk I just-"
"{Gasps} HOW DARE YOU! First you sit on me and now you insult my entire race?"
"Oh no no no, that wasn't what I-" Janet tried to say as she approached Ms. Chair.
"DON'T TALK BACK TO ME GIRL AND STAY WHERE YOU ARE THIS INSTANT!"
Janet immediately closed her mouth and stood up straight, finding herself unable to move or speak. Ms. Chair noticed this as well and began to ponder.
"Hmm. Girl, curtsey for me."
Janet then curtseyed Ms. Chair, unable to stop herself from doing it.
"Interesting. Girl, do you have a name?" Ms. Chair asked, but Janet remained silent.
"Oh yes, that's right. Girl, you may respond while ending with ma'am."
"Yes ma'am." Janet found herself saying.
"I see. And what is it girl?"
"It's Janet ma'am. But I also go by Alice ma'am."
It was then that Janet realized what was happening to her. Because of her Alice personality, Janet was now force to obey anyone (or anything) that had higher social standings (or was larger) than her. Ms. Chair also realized this as well and considered her next command.
