Jeff continued walking to class, tucking his tail back into his pants along the way. He stepped into his homeroom, and thankfully, nobody seemed bothered by his feet-hands or Danny's stuffed toy. He walked over to his seat and plonked down, unzipping his backpack and pulling down his books.
As an experiment, Jeff tried writing with his new hands. The process was difficult-he had to put the sole of his left foot on the paper to keep it from sliding around, and use his other foot to write. But he couldn't get a normal grip on the pencil, so his handwriting was big and sloppy, like a little kid's. "I think I'll just record the lecture today..." Jeff thought. It was at that time his friend Randy came in, and grabbed the seat next to Jeff's.
"Hey Jeff, how's it going?" Randy asked, pulling out his books.
"It's going alright. Notice anything different about me?" Jeff asked, as Randy was getting his stuff. Jeff knew that Randy wouldn't notice any of the swaps, but he was still curious what his friend thought of him.
"Um, did you get your-" Jeff felt a tingling in his left ear, the one closest to Randy. He felt dizzy for a second, and realized he couldn't hear out of that ear any more. "What?" Jeff asked, feeling his hear move weirdly when he did so and hearing a familiar voice...
Randy looked up. "Oh, I was asking if you were trying new lipstick." Jeff sighed and pulled out his phone. Using his camera like a mirror, he saw that his mom's mouth had been swapped with his ear. Her plump lips were coated in red lipstick. Trying something, Jeff said "Yep! I just bought this new shade. Thanks for noticing," all with his mother's mouth. His own stayed silent.
"Yeah man, it looks good! Do you want to borrow my notes after class?"
"That'd be great," Jeff said, with both mouths. It seemed like he'd automatically use both, unless if he was concentrating on just one.
