Doris couldn’t handle this. She didn’t want to be a toddler, and the only way she could think of to get back to normal was to get out of here. But she had to wait for the perfect opening.
Thankfully, the perfect opening soon presented itself. At the same time that Ricky was distracted changing a dirty diaper, Chloe came into the daycare with the latest regressed tot. Doris, who had positioned herself next to the door, slipped out of the daycare. Her heart pounding, she scampered away as fast as her thick diaper allowed her.
A few people spotted her toddling through the hall, but no one said or did anything to stop her. They just watched her. Suckling urgently on her pacifier, Doris ducked into the ladies’ changing room by the pool. She found a corner in the changing room and sat down, trying to collect herself. As she sat down, however, she felt dampness in her diaper. The anxiety and excitement of her escape must have made her tinkle.
