=Before Doris could decide upon a course of action, she was picked up.
“Sorry, Doris, but you’ll have to play later,” Ricky said. “It’s nap time now.”
“But-” Doris started.
“No buts. Everyone’s going down for naps. First…” Ricky stuck a finger down the back of Doris’ diaper, making her yelp in shock. “You just couldn’t wait to use the diaper, huh? You’re wet. Too wet to sleep in this.” Ricky brought Doris over to the changing table. Doris was completely silent, shocked that she had peed without realizing.
The diaper change was thankfully over quickly, and Ricky was bringing Doris over to the cribs. He set her down in a bright pink one, then went to get the other toddlers and put them in cribs as well. Doris sat in her crib, suckling on her pacifier grumpily. For some reason, part of her was incredibly upset that she had been the first one to be put in a crib.
Once all the toddlers had been put in cribs, Ricky turned off the lights and left the room.
