"The Zoo's still our best bet, Tats," said Selena. "I can go wolf like I planned, but I can always try out any of the other exhibits if I change my mind."
"Good thinking," Tatiana agreed. Climbing on her bike.
Soon they arrived at the zoo. The weather was pleasantly cloudy, so the sun just itched a bit on Tatiana's undead skin (so long as she kept her Amulet of Daywalking on). An attendant stopped them at the turnstiles.
"That'll be forty dollars each, girls," said the man.
Tatiana's eyes glowed a hellish red. "Oh, I don't think so." Her voice echoed eerily. "Listen carefully. You will give me and my friend free tickets, no questions asked, and let us through. Am I clear, mortal?"
The man's eyes glazed over. "Yes, mistress." He then handed over two admission tickets without another word. The girls took them and darted through the turnstiles into the zoo.
"He won't remember that, will he?" asked Selena.
"They all forget it happens in about twenty seconds," Tatiana answered.
"And it gets you into the habitats, too?" Selena asked, slightly awed.
"Trust me," said Tatiana, "getting into this zoo is a cinch for a vampire. My hippie sister Liesel does this all the time to feed. She's one of those weirdos who only drink animal blood. Tiger blood's her favorite. Anyway, what'll you be using your Werebrush on?"
Selena pondered for a moment. She'd been wanting to become a werewolf all of her life, but she was suddenly confronted with a nearly infinite list of possibilities. Where should she go?
