"You know, come to think of it, there are quite a lot of beautiful dogs," said Selena, "I can certainly see myself becoming a weredog version of a lot of breeds."
"Then we better hurry over to the dog park," said Tatiana, "This is the time of the day where owners are most likely to bring their dogs out."
They rode their bikes to the dog park. It was a lovely day and many people had brought their dogs out. They were running and barking happily as they played.
"Wow, there's a pretty big variety to chose from here," said Selena, looking at the many dogs.
"That's true," said Tatiana, "Maybe it would be easier to narrow down the dogs you don't want to brush."
"Well, I can already think one big eliminator," said Selena, "I'm not going to be any toy breed."
"Ah, you don't wanna be a werechihuahua?" asked Tatiana teasingly.
Selena gave her a flat look and said, "Not for all the money in the world."
"I could make it worth your while," said Tatiana, running a hand down Selena's back.
Selena shivered a bit but she said, "My answer's still no."
"Ok, ok, I was only teasing," said Tatiana, "Anything else?"
"Well...probably don't want to be any breed with too much jowls," said Selena, "My sisters are going to tease me more than enough about being 'domesticated' without them calling me a 'hangdog'."
"You don't think they'll toss you out of the pack?" asked Tatiana.
"Well, dogs are all descended from wolves," said Selena. She glanced at a bug-eyed pug and added, "Very distantly descended."
"Maybe you could pick a dog that's closer to a wolf," said Tatiana. She looked around before pointing, "In fact, isn't that a wolfdog over there?"
Selena looked to where she was pointing. That particular dog did have a very lupine look to it. It was currently having a friendly rough-and-tumble with other big dogs. "Hmm...that's probably as close to a wolf as a dog can get," said Selena.
"Still there's a great deal of elegance and beauty from the refined breeds," said Tatiana, "You should consider doing one of them."
Tatiana did have a point. There were quite a lot of dogs here to choose from that it was hard to pick.
