Tim tried not to stare. He didn't know what was going on, but somehow, but his wife thought she was the babysitter and vice versa. And the two were even looking and acting the parts. Worst of all, Jennifer was leaving and Tim had no idea how to fix this.
Jennifer had gathered her books into her bag and head for the door. Tim knew he need to act fast. He jumped between her and the door causing everyone to wonder what the quick motion is about. “Hey Jennifer, we really appreciate you watching the kids. Why don’t you stay for dinner?” Tim hastily offered. “Tim honey, I know Jennifer has been here a while and probably has a lot of studying to do.” Shaniqua interrupted.
“Thanks for the offer Mr. Johnson but I’m actually headed over to my boyfriends house for the night!” Jennifer responded. Tim’s stomach felt sick at the thought of Jennifer leaving. She walked out the door and Tim tried to intervene again but Melissa came running in and hugged Shaniqua which three Times off. Jennifer jumped into Shaniqua’s old station wagon and drove off before Tim could snap back into reality. She was gone. Tim almost couldn’t believe it but remembered she is supposed to babysit tomorrow.
Tim avoided Shaniqua as she headed for the bedroom to shower after the workout. Maybe the watch could still fix this. Tim lifted up his wrist to find the watch not on his arm. Melissa had a knack for removing his watches without him realizing and thinks she may have removed it.
Tim finds Melissa in her room playing. “Honey, did you take daddy’s watch?” “No. Not Weally.” She replied. “What do you mean?” Tim continued. “I put it in the brown bag.” She responded. Tim thought for a minute what brown bag she could have put it in and realized it was Jennifer’s book bag!
