"I guess that's up to the alphas and the elders," said Selena. She was starting to feel a bit bad about putting Luna in this position, but she couldn't see a good way around it.
Luna sniffled again. "I... I guess so."
Selena and Luna returned to the village, entered the alpha family's cabin, and made their way to the dining room. Fortunately, a pack conference was in progress. Selena's father Caleb Lyall, her mother Artemis Lyall, and all six elders were there. They turned their heads towards Luna's naked human form and the strange, beautiful wolfgirl standing beside her.
"Sorry, Luna," said Alpha Celeb, "we're kind of busy."
"Wait," said Alpha Artemis, "who's this strange werewolf with you? I haven't seen her around here before."
Selena laughed. "It's me, Mom!" To prove it, she shifted back into her human form.
"Holy crap!" Caleb gasped. "Selena, you've finally shifted!"
"How?!" asked Artemis.
"I found this spell," said Selena. "It lets me take the wolf essence from another werewolf. So I used it on Luna. I know that sounds awful, but you've all seen the way she treated me, like I wasn't even a person!"
"She has a point," said Elder Sage, stroking her chin.
"It still doesn't justify something so drastic," Elder Conan countered.
"We'll save Selena for later," Caleb cut in. "First we must decide how to handle Luna's predicament."
Artemis looked her eldest daughter straight in the eye. "Luna, can you shift into a wolfwoman at all?"
Luna sadly shook her head.
"I see," said Artemis. "Luna, Selena, please leave the room for a moment. Your father, the elders, and I have to discuss this tricky matter in private."
The girls nodded and left the alphas' dining room. Luna curled her naked body into a fetal position, whimpering in terror as she waited for her fate to be decided.
Selena patted her sister's shoulder. "It'll be okay, I'm sure of it. I was the one who did this, not you. I bet they punish me." Luna just whimpered again in response.
