Me and my stepsister, Amy, did not get along. I didn’t meet her until my dad met her mom while I was a freshman in high school, and she was from a rival school. She usually pulled pranks on me, teased me, and was overall an annoyance.
Well, I knew that I didn’t have to live with her much longer. We were both adults, and I almost had enough money to move out.
At least she never pulled any pranks on the days that the Wave passed by us. She might have been immature for a 19 year old, but I knew that I was safe during that time.
Well, that’s what I thought I knew.
“Thomas! Come here, quickly!” She shouted.
I walked into her room, and I didn’t see her.
“In here!” She shouted.
I opened her closet door and saw her smiling. She pulled me in, left, and then slammed the door. I quickly tried to open it, but it was being blocked on the other side.
“Let me out!” I shouted.
All I heard was giggling. I flicked the light on. At least it was big for a closet, and clean enough to where I had room. I didn’t know what to do, so I just sat down and waited. I knew that the wave would pass by in a few minutes, maybe she’ll let me out after it passes.
I wait until I see a wall of light deep through the closet. It passes by me quickly.
