I opened my eyes after the wave passed me by. I didn’t feel any changes. Nothing was really different. I sighed with relief, knowing that another year went by without any major changes to my body.
“Ok, nothing happened! You can let me out now!” I shouted.
I heard no response.
I shrugged and twisted the doorknob. The door opened easily, with nothing blocking the way. However, what I saw on the other side was not Amy’s room.
Instead, I saw what seemed like a large extension of her closet. A tight, but very long corridor with clothes on hangers surrounding me.
“Okaaaaayyyy, this is different…” I said out loud.
Normally, the wave doesn’t teleport other people. There have been missing people cases, but most of these cases were caused by transformations. This was different.
I walked towards the end of the corridor/closet, and found that the area I was in was significantly larger than expected.
It actually seemed like I was in a huge clothing store, one so gigantic that I couldn’t see any walls. The aisles around me seemed to have different kinds of clothing. Some were just casual shirts. Others contained formal dresses and suits.
I wandered around, confused about what I was supposed to do, and how I could get out. If getting out was even possible. I asked myself, “what does this place have to do with the Wave of Light? And what happened to Amy? Did she cause this?”
I walked in a straight line as far as I could. It seemed like I walked for over a mile before realizing that there may not be an end. This “store” could be infinite!
