The New Hire

added by Brightest Midnight A year ago O Mental

"So what's this place called, Megan?" The voice asked on the other end of the phone as a young woman with long brown hair and lightly tanned skin made her way down the street. She was dressed in a light blue dress and had a purse over her shoulder, but she was looking a bit tired.

"It's called Liz's Bar, it's basically the last place in town that I haven't tried at this point, David," Megan said with a sigh as she looked up at the sign. "At this point if things don'g go well here then I don't know what I'm going to do for a job."

"Liz's, isn't that the lesbian bar that's downtown?" David asked.

"Yeah, so?"

"Well, I mean, I didn't think you'd work at a place like that," David commented. "I mean, we're..."

"Dave, honey, I'm bi remember? You're the one who got me to do that threesome with my best friend after you found out," Megan said with a roll of her eyes. "Besides, I love you. The girls there can't possibly be more fun in bed than you are, so don't worry about it, I'm not gonna find some hot lesbian girl and sleep with or run off with her."

David didn't answer for a moment, so she spoke up. "You're not imagining me in bed with a hot lesbian girl are you?"

"...No," David said, though he was clearly lying.

"Well, if I find a hot bi girl, we'll see if she'll join us, but right now I just need a job," Megan said with a sigh. "Don't worry about it, really, I'm not interested in a new relationship. I'll see you tonight when we will either celebrate or drown our sorrows in alcohol while I figure out what to do."

"Alright, love you Megan," David said as he hung up. She put her phone in her purse and looked at the sign again for a moment and shrugged. Well, if nothing else this should be entertaining. She opened the door and headed inside, looking around at the women around who were chatting, she was a bit surprised to see a few guys in there, but they didn't seem to be interested in the girls either. She walked up to the bar, barely paying attention.

"Hey, you must be Megan," the woman behind the bar said with a smile. Megan glanced up at her, as the woman gave her a smile.

"Uh, yeah, I called earlier about the help wanted for the waitress position," Megan said as she ran her hand through her hair for a moment. "I've worked at a few places, but we only moved into town last month."

"Ah, I see, well I'm Liz, it's nice to meet you," Liz said with a smile as Megan gave her her resume. Liz twirled a strand of hair on her finger as she read it over, nodding for Megan to take a seat. "So, you know what kind of bar this is, right?"

"Yeah, of course," Megan replied with a slight blush as she noticed a girl down the bar giving her a smile. "I mean, I've been trying to find a job to pay for rent and stuff, but not with much luck. "I just really need a job."

"Well, it seems like you have a lot of good experience," Liz said as she looked it over, glancing at her briefly. Her magic was already starting to work on Megan, she was trying to avoid staring at the other girls around her, she was already imagining what this cutie would look like when its done. "It looks like you've had some bartending experience as well as certification as well. Why did you move here?"

"Uh, my boyfriend, he got a job in town," Megan answered, trying to hide the fact that she was staring at a pair of women that were kissing nearby. That was weird, she thought that one of them had been a guy... it had to be her imagination, but she felt herself getitng a little wet. "We wanted to get settled in, you know?"

"Oh yes, I understand," Liz said with a smile as she nodded at the papers in front of her. Megan looked a bit more nervous, but she knew that she had everything in order. So it was just a matter of seeing what she said. "Alright, well everything seems to be in order. You can start next week if Monday is good for you, I'll text you with your full schedule for the first week."

"Really? I have the job?" Megan asked, a little surprised. She thought about David for a moment, her brain first went to boyfriend, but that didn't make sense, she wouldn't have a boyfriend when girls were so much sexier, he was just her roommate. "Oh thank god, my roommate will be so happy."

"That's good," Liz said with a smile. "How about you stay for awhile and we celebrate your new employment."

"Sounds good to me," Megan answered, barely noticing that her clothes were changing from the nice dress into...
