Lilly was a normal girl. She was ten-years-old walking home from school. She lived in a small town in the middle of nowhere with a small swamp on the outskirts and her family lived on the other side of town near the swamp. She would often cut through the swamp on her way home from school. none of her friends went that way since they all lived in town and today your two sisters had after school activities.
You took your time getting home and enjoyed the nice summer air. You wore sandals and a flowy white dress. You had blond hair cut shoulder length. you bountiful green eyes shone with youthful happiness. as you walked something came streaking in the sky just over the tree line. not long after you watched it fall with a loud crash. you went running to see what it was.
it landed just off the path and it left a small crater. You tried to pear down into it and accidently fell in landing on your butt. "oww." you said standing and dusting off your dress and giving your bottom a rub. you saw what looked like a rock that had cracked open. you saw a blue jello looking substance flow out of it. You gave a cautions step back as it started to form a puddle. you found a stick from one of the trees the rock must have hit and gave the puddle an experimental poke as the last of it seeped from the rocks. "momo" you heared the puddle say annoyed
"eep" you yellped giving a step back as you saw 2 darker spots of liquid form what looked like a pair of eyes. you stared at the puddle. it looked almost cute but you weren't entirely covinced this thing was even alive. this time you reached out with your hand. the thing extended part of its surface and you were shocked to feel the slimy surface. "momo!" it said seemingly happy.
you pulled back and stared a while longer. "are you alive."
"momomomo" it said bouncing around cutely. You giggled and clapped your hands for it. it reached out for you again this time you spread your arms and embraced the appendage in a hug.
"Did you crash here in that rock?" you asked it still clinging to it. it's body felt surprisingly warm despite the slightly slimy sensation it gave off. it also didn't seem to be getting your clothes wet or anything.
"momo!" it said seemingly just happy with the touch. you resigned yourself to not being able to get the answers you seeked since it seemed to only know the one word.
"hmm I don't think you will be going back from... where ever you came from... anytime soon so i guess you'll need a name. I'll call you momo!" you said happily
"momo!" it said seemingly happy as it clung to you more knocking you on the ground again.
You giggled and noticed that it looked like it was about to rain. "I should probably get home." you said standing to go. you looked at your new friend and felt bad leaving it out here. "why don't you come with me." you said taking your backpack off your shoulders and opening it. the slime slid in and you started walking back home.
