Transform or Dare?

How to Normalize Goblins playing table top RPGs

added 2 years ago BM S O

"Thought 'right of conquest' outdated ideal," said Kyl-Kyl. "It inefficient, wasteful. War just make conquered hate gobbo, disobey just to spite gobbo. World market so tied together that economic conquest much better. Make humies comfortable, make homies WANT gobbos to be in charge."

Dav-Dav nodded. "Gobbo understand. Gobbo pay attention in history class."

Kyl-Kyl noted how Dave had treated being turned into a goblin as no big deal and had clearly been fearing something 'worse'. Kyl-Kyl felt an odd comfort that his D&D club still accepted him as he was even before their inevtiable upgrade into gobbos.

Kyl-Kyl also realized that Jen-Jen didn't have the curse! So she couldn't change her pet cheerleaders into more gobbos! Was she just going to CONVINCE her pet cheerleaders to become gobbos and then have the other gobbos change them?

'Gobbos need 50 for short term survival, gobbos need 500 for long term survival. Nine gobbos right now... gonna have long road ahead.'

Soon enough came in the rest of the D&D club. Gary, James, Megan, and Gertrud.

Gary said waving his face, "Whao Dav, you really let out a big one!"

"Thank you!" Dav-Dav laughed.

Megan opened one of the windows. "No offense boys, just so we humans don't suffocate."

"No prob," Dav-Dav said causally. "Kyl-Kyl have big idea for new campaign. Help humies get in character for game. REALLY in character if humies know what gobbo mean!"

Gertrud gasped. "You really found it?! You finally get your hands on the curse?! This is awesome! We can finally play our fantasy characters for real! We can LARP with real magic and spells and everything!"

Dav-Dav nodded. "Humie smart!"

Jame said, "Whao whao! The CURSE? The thing meant to CAUSE trouble? Should we really be playing around with that?"

Gary said putting a hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry James. Once the game's over, we can just use the curse to undo things. It's not like we're gonna be stuck like our characters."

"I guess..." Said James.

"We burning game time!" Said Kyl-Kyl sternly. He might now be gobbo to enslave humies, but he still Game Master and proud of it!

"Right, right, sorry Kyl," said Megan. "Well, in for a penny, in for a pound."

In their heart of hearts, some part of Kyl-Kyl and Dav-Dav felt bad at how much their friends trusted them utterly, being goblins meant nothing to them. And they were about to betray that trust. But they were gobbos on a mission sadly, and they'd be happier as gobbos anyway.

"Transform or Dare!" Dav-Dav said.

The four humans responded. "Transform!"

Dav-Dav said, "You all become gobbos, like me, Jen-Jen, and Kyl-Kyl. Reality retroactively change so all except Dav-Dav, Kyl-Kyl, and Jen-Jen, always remember you as gobbos. Same stuff happen to your families."

The four friends didn't have time to react in shock at the details of Dav-Dav's transform.

They all shrank down, their skins becoming various shades of green, becoming the same kind of short-stack as the other goblins, with giant ears and noses, claws and shark teeth. Their eyes glowed like red jewels.

Their clothes vanished, leaving them nudists like the other goblins, but Gary actually kept his 'Keep it classic' t-shirt with a picture of the original rulebooks.

Gertrud meanwhile, her body was COVERED in gold and jewels. Multiple necklaces. Rings for their fingers and toes, earrings, nipple rings, belly button, and other places.

Gary had a huge belly for a goblin, and his sack was equally big. Jame was skinny like a skeleton but looked to be in perfect health anyway. Megan's chest was even bigger than Jen's, to the point they actually rested on her stomach. And Gertrud had meaty thighs that could crush bricks.

"Gar-Gar, Ja-Ja, Meg-Meg, Ger-Ger, Dav-Dav, ready to play?" Kyl-Kyl asked.

"YES!" All the goblins said together. The goblins all causally sat down. Practically draped over the chairs, they were all to their scale now. Gary began to please himself without a second thought, and none of the goblins so much as bat an eyelash.

They collectively let out a stench that had all the gobbos laughing to themselves.

Kyl-Kyl decided to check his cell phone, looking up news and history sites, things had changed again.

There was now an Umbrella corporation and trust named "Goblin Clan Interests".

City Hall know who keep Glendale economy running. Willing to look other way with more stuff.

There were now seven families of goblins. But still only two generations. The amount they could influence human society in that time was reaching its limit. THey were going to have to gobbo their grandparents next.

Glendale's population was retroactively bigger, with more jobs made available with the goblin's technological advancements building a factory for air-drones. There even an article praising Glendale for keeping jobs in the United States.

And the gaming gear the club was playing with was now really nice and expensive. Complete with individual custom figurines for full color map!

Kyl-Kyl realized the curse hadn't just affect the parents of the gaming group. But their siblings too.

The pictures on his phone showed Meg-Meg's four little brothers, grinning bat-ear to bat-ear, and their bodies covered in claw and bite marks from each other. Not that different from how they fought before, but now looking happy about it. They were the most innocent and adorable goblins Kyl had ever seen. Even not being related, Kyl felt an instinctive need to protect them no matter what.

A kidnapper had once tried to hold them for ransom... the police found him in a pool of his own blood covered in bite marks, he was arrested after he got out of the hospital.

Gar-Gar's big sister was still a collage girl, looking tall for a goblin, even more muscle bound than Kyl, looking like she could crush them all into basket balls and shoot hoop with his fellow gobbos.

Ger-Ger's little sister was... odd for a goblin from the pictures. Frolicking with flowers in her hair, happily playing with forest animals, and looking CLEAN. It just phase hopefully.

Jam-Jam's older brother was as skinny as him, but still somehow bench pressing iron.

"Kyl-Kyl, gobbos gonna game or not?" Gar-Gar asked.

"Oh! Right! Sorry!" Kyl-Kyl nodded.

The adventure began with the goblins in game being tasked with taking care of a clan of incredibly stupid and incompetent goblins who were gonna be nothing but trouble if left to their own devices.

Being role-players, the gobbo players naturally argued about the best course of actions.

"Exterminate 'em! Get big gold bounty!" Said Gar-Gar playing a black guard goblin.

"Magically turn dum-gobbos into dum-non-gobbos, be non-gobbos problem," Dav-Dav's goblin ranger suggested.

"Sterilize dumb-gobbos, no kill, but no breed, problem solved!" Suggested Jam-Jam's goblin thief.

"Gobbos should educate gobbos!" Said Ger-Ger's goblin duel-class druid/cleric.

"We petrify dum-gobbos, use magic runes to make dum-gobbo-statues army of golems for us!" Meg-Meg's goblin sorceress suggested.

"Gobbo always wanna petrify stuff and make golems! Go against nature!" Ger-Ger's character protested.

"It efficient and not waste!"

"Mine most simple," Gar-Gar said.

"Let non-gobbos waste time and gold on stupid-gobbos!" Dav-Dav pressed.

Kyl-Kyl sighed. 'More things change, more thing stay same. Gobbo-heroes supposed to find evil dragon spiking gobbo water supply with dum-potion.'

"We can wrap up soon? Church soon," said Dav-Dav.

"You still go?" Kyl-Kyl asked surprised.

"Sure. All-inclusivity big part of Savior's message," Dav-Dav nodded like it was obvious.
