Before Dan had a chance to try anything, the girl scooped him up. He watched the pile of his clothes vanish from view as she headed for a new section of the Baby Department.
He then found himself plopped into a high chair. Before lowering the tray, she buckled him in with straps that came down over both his shoulders and sides along with one final one running over his crotch. Once everything was properly tightened Dan found the straps completely able to hold him in place.
While the girl ducked into an aisle, Dan tried to undo the straps. He might get in trouble for ditching a 'customer' but he had to get his badge back. The first buckle opened easy enough. Then the second. He just about had the third when the girl reappeared. He winced expecting her to be mad.
"Oh good you're playing along! Babies always try to get out of stuff. You're a bit too good at it though," she said setting a pile of things down on the tray. After tapping a few things on her phone she continued, "OK try again now."
Dan obliged but found his hands didn't. Where moments before manipulating the child proof buckles was simple. It now seemed he lacked the coordination to use them properly.
"Much better!"
After returning the buckles to their proper place, she strapped a bib around his neck. After that she set a rubber spoon and jar of baby food in front of him.
Carefully scooping up some of the food she held it out for him to eat, but looking beige mush Dan couldn't bring himself to open his mouth. Undisturbed, the girl quickly tapped a few more options on her phone then held the spoon back out.
"Here comes the Choo Choo Train," she said and started making train noises.
An unexpected giggle from Dan opened his mouth enough for the spoon to slip in. To add to the shock, he found the mush actually tasted pretty good. With his defenses lowered the girl continued spooning more into his mouth until the jar was empty.
Next she stuck a warm bottle of milk in his mouth. He initially struggled to actually drink from it, but the girl was all too happy to 'help'. Another moment on her phone and he found himself easily draining the bottle. The girl took a few pictures of his 'demonstration' which Dan was grateful he wouldn't have to worry about being recognized in. When he was finished, he felt completely full and a little groggy.
"All done. Now I gotta clean you up."
Dan was confused for a moment before spotting the final picture when she set down her phone to grab a cloth. His face and bib were stained with bits of mush and milk. Had he really made such a mess?
While Dan pondered that the girl happily wiped his face off and removed the bib, "There all better! Now let's go somewhere else!"
The relief of being freed from the high chair lasted only a moment before he found himself strapped into a stroller. Before they could begin the journey to wherever his next humiliation would be, she decided he needed some new accessories.
First she stuck a pacifier in his mouth which he tried to spit out, but another tap on the phone left him contentedly sucking on it. Next she provided him with a small crinckling blanket attached to a plush bear head. Of course he soon found himself snuggling it. She finished by pulling a knit hat with little bear ears onto his head.
She took a quick picture before pushing the stroller further away from where his badge was hopefully still laying. As they moved he could here the girl still tapping on her phone. He could only hope she was posting pictures of the 'cute baby' not messing with the settings any further.
He also found himself struggling to keep his eyes open. Between his full belly and the comfort he was getting from his newly acquired habits, it was getting harder and harder to stay awake...
