Lisa was taken aback by the revelation Aaron wanted to be a woman. He was about as masculine a man as they came. He was tall, muscular, handsome, and the captain of the football team back in high school. She was all the more eager to meet up with him to ask him about his plans as a woman.
Lisa heads to the cafe where she arranged a meeting with Aaron, spotting the bulky 6’3” man at a lone table. Lisa nervously smiles at Aaron, a bit awkward about what they will be discussing.
“Hey Lis’, guess this’ll be the last time I’m gonna be taller than you.” Aaron says with a chuckle as he tries to break the ice.
“Haha, yeah it’s kind of crazy how we’re both gonna be changing genders. I have to say I’m a bit surprised at your decision. Your one of the most masculine men I know, why do you want to give that up, and become a girl” Lisa asks.
“First of all, I know what your probably thinking, and no, I’m not trans, I’m just curious and adventurous. Katie told me all about your reasoning, how you feel being a man has a lot of perks, and I won’t deny it does, but in some areas it isn’t so great. There’s a lot women do that I’m interested in experiencing myself.” Aaron states quite confidently.
“Like what? What’s so enticing about being a girl to a man like you?” Lisa asks a bit befuddled.
Aaron just smiles back before responding “Well, I’ve always noticed girls are more sensitive than boys. They seem a lot more in touch with their emotions, and have a certain ability to be vulnerable. I want to be able to let go and be emotionally open… without shame.”
Lisa listens intently at Aaron’s statement as he was very earnest. “Wow, that’s actually really sweet of you. I hope you have more fun with it than me. So about this swap partners thing, how do you want it to go.”
Aaron leans in close to Lisa before pitching his idea. “We send photos everyday on our progress. We hide nothing from each other so we can be fully supportive of each other’s changes. Sound good?” He asks eagerly, clearly very excited.
Lisa reaches out her hand for Aaron to shake. “Sounds good… girlfriend, speaking of which, what do you want your new name to be?”
“Amber, call me Amber now. Better start getting used to it sooner than later. And you?”
“I’ll be Liam now. So Amber, I’ll see you again soon. I hope you turn out beautiful.”
“And I hope you become a handsome man Liam. Until next time.”
The two hug, glad to have each other to lean on as they head home to take their first set of treatments…
