You decide it's best not to get anyone else involved with the books, so you'll just practice spells on yourself.
You also decide since the Book of Time was the first you recieved, you'll practice with it first.
You quickly open it and scan over all twelve spells.
I. Spell One: Age Reversal
In order to age one in reverse you must select your target by pointing at them. If you do not point at a target, you will be the target of your own spell. To activate this spell, speak the command workd "Regress" and think clearly how many years you want the client to be regressed. It it possibly to regress one as far as a newborn, but you can not unbirth one with this spell alone. This spell consumes only a mild amount of energy.
II. Spell Two: Ageing
This spell allows you to make one older. In order to cast it, you must point to select a target. If you do not point at a target, you will be the target of the spell. To activate the spell, speak the command word "Progress" and think of how many years you want to progress the target. This spell can not age a target to death. This spell consumes only a mild amount of energy.
III. Spell Three: Unbirth
This frightening spell kills a target by regressing them so far it causes them to go through unbirth, and thus die, or undie, unlive. It is very important to select a target before casting this spell. If you select no target, you will cast it on yourself. This spell consumes a large amount of energy. The command word is "unbirth".
IV. Decay
This powerful spell ages a target by thousands of years at a time, usually resulting in death in most species. Warning, if you do not select a target by pointing you will be the target. Speak the command word "Decay" in order to activate this spell. This spell consumes a large amount of energy.
V. Immortality
This spell protects the target from the effects of ages. With the exception of magical means, they will not age normally ever again once put under the effects of this spell. The command word is "immortal" and to activate the spell, you must speak the command word and point at the target. If no target is selected, then you will be the target. This spell consumes an average amount of energy.
VI. Chrono Freeze
This spell freezes one target in time for 1,000 years or until the spell is removed. The command word to use the spell is "freeze". Point at the target to select it, if no target is sected you'll be the target. You can remove the spell simply by speaking the command word "unfreeze" This spell can only effect one target at at time, and consumes a large amount of energy. While one is frozen in this state, they can not be harmed.
VII. Time Freeze
This spell freezes time temporarily for everyone but the caster. The spell last for up to ten minutes from the caster's point of view, and he can interact in the world normally, though any effects will not be revealed until after time unfreezes. No spells can be cast while time is frozen. To freeze time, shout the command words "Time Freeze". You may unfreeze time before the time limit is up just by shouting the command words a second time. This requires a gargantuan amount of energy to cast and maintain.
VIII. Time Travel
This formidable tomes allows one to travel back and forth through time, and even change events in the past. The command word to travel back in time is 'history' and the command word to travel forward in time is 'future' You can return to your own time with the command word 'present'. When saying the command word, you must picture in your mind the time and place you wish to arrive. This spell requires a large amount of energy.
IX. Mass Age Reversal
This spell functions like age reversal, but can effect a large number of individuals in one area. You must picture the area in your mind to cast it. If the caster is in the area, he will be effected. The command word is "mass regress" and the spell requires a large amount of energy.
X. Mass Ageing
This spell functions like the ageing spell, but can effect a large number of individuals in a chosen area. You must picture the area in your mind to cacst it, and if the caster is in the area he will be effected. The command word is "mass progress" and the spell requires a large amount of energy.
XI. Curse of Animal Age
This spell will cause someone to age at the same rate as a selected animal. It can be used to cause them to age faster if used with an animal like a dog, or can be used to make them age slower if used with an animal like a sea turtle. The command words are 'age curse'. To cast the spell, say the command word, and point at the target while thinking of the animal you wish to give them the ageing rate of. If no target is selected you will be the target. The spell consumes a mild amount of energy.
XII. Gift of Humanity's Age
This spell will cause an animal or someone with a fast ageing rate to age at the same rate as a normal human. To cast the spell point at a target, and used the command word 'gift'. If no target is selected you will be the target. The spell consumes a mild amount of energy.
