You’ve lost physical attacking power, but gained HP, you’ve lost some speed but dramatically gained MP, even opened up a new move pool that wasn’t available before. Ren raises his gourd and puts up a cheer, “To the new leader, kanpai!” He hits that gourd harder than any alcoholic you’ve seen.
So in drinking the gourd, you became a tanuki. There’s no game over screen, but you’re not 100% sure how to continue.
