Waking up to a reply

added by Anonymous A year ago BM TG
Author note:
From now on, it seems that Jeff's story will be told in second person perspective.

After a good eight hours of sleep, you groggily rolled out of bed and immediately decided to check the blog for any replies to your comment. After all, that was your only hope of fixing this mess. However, this train of thought was quickly interrupted by a more urgent need - a full bladder threatening to burst at any moment. You quickly rushed out to the hallway, not even bothering to change out of the ridiculous thong that you forgot you were wearing, made your way to the bathroom and sat down to relieve yourself. It bothered that this process was beginning to feel so routine. You didn't even need a reminder to wipe this time.

Now with the pressure gone, you washed your hands and practically sprinted back to your room, hopped onto your desk chair and brought up the weird transformation blog. A red notification icon informed you that there was a new reply in the discussion thread.
Rubbing at your sleep-encrusted eyes to clear your fuzzy vision, you clicked on the icon, your heart beginning to race. Some part of you desperately wanted to believe that this one reply would save you and return everything back to normal, though considering how useless the rest of the blog had been, you knew it was probably nothing.

You squinted until you could make sense of the blurry characters on your screen:
NEW MESSAGE, 8 hours ago by user Cursed
You might not believe me, but this is completely true. I found this place about six months ago, within walking distance of my school. I bought something cheap that cursed me, and when I went back the next day, the store was gone. My life was turned upside down and there was no solution in sight. I thought I would never see that creepy old man or his shop again, and nobody even notices that I've changed, not even my parents. But then about a week ago, the shop returned, with a big sign advertising a closing down sale! I begged the old man to help me but he said he didn't even remember me, and tried to sell me more creepy items. When I came back the next day, it was gone again! I seriously don't know what to do. I feel like I'm losing my mind. If anyone knows anything, please, please help me. I don't know if I can live like this.

You reeled back from your monitor. About a week ago? A closing down sale? Was it possible that you and this Cursed person went to the same store on the same day, barely missing each other? Their story seemed so similar to your own, with the exception that they had managed to find the store twice.

You clicked on Cursed's username and began to frantically type a private message.
Cursed, sorry to ask such personal information, but which school do you go to? I ask because I think we found the same store, and now I'm in the same boat as you. If it helps you to believe me, I remember that it was a tiny, squashed-looking building sitting in the middle of an empty lot, just past the regular shops, and directly across the road from the park. Please respond soon.

Your heart began to race as you clicked 'send,' and there was a sudden knock at your door. It swung open, giving you just enough time to pull your shirt down over your groin in an attempt to save some of your dignity.
"Oh, I hope I'm not interrupting anything, sweetie." Said your mother, sheepishly.
"I-it's fine." you muttered.
"Since it seems like you're not getting ready for school today, remember that Stacy will be coming by with your homework later."
"Fine." you nodded. It really wasn't fine. You still weren't ready to face Stacy.
"And I hope you've been keeping up with the doctor's medical instructions." your mother continued.
This caused you to jolt upright. "Instructions?"
"Yes, silly. You know, like dilating your erm, well, you know. You need to follow the instructions if you want to heal correctly, or you could suffer some serious complications."
Your hands were beginning to shake. "But... I really, really don't want to..."
Your mother put her hands on her hips, "The doctor's instructions are in the bag by your bed, along with the necessary medical equipment. If you don't want another trip the the hospital, you'll follow them exactly. It's very important."
And with that, she left you alone.

You had barely been awake for half an hour and it had been a roller coaster of emotion. You now had one positive lead, and at least two unpleasant, humiliating things to look forward to. Though, given your luck, you expected more would be on their way soon enough.
