Broken out of your fly sleep, you "hear" something come from a direction. You were confused as hearing wasn't something you have tested other then buzzing from you and Samantha, and it seemed to be coming from your antennae, but suddenly the door opening in the room and a figure coming just told you "where" the sound was coming from. Realizing being house flies on white pillows might not be the best situation, you make a impromptu "follow" signal to Samantha and skitter to the back and under the pillow you two were just on.
After waiting a bit, you sensed that the person was doing something but thanks to your new senses, you really couldn't tell what. You decided to edge towards the side of the pillow to see if you could get a better view while trying to remain hidden, and Samantha had the same idea.
You saw an overweight woman and just seemed to going through the motions of taking things off in front of a mirror. Your vision made it hard to make out details, like telling what facial expressions she was making, but she must'ave been wearing alot of jewelry as it was easy to tell what was "shiny" if not their shape, and "hearing" clinks and jingling stood out, if hearing them in an alien way. You were also sure she didn't seem to notice you, keeping in mind that being a very small insect, not buzzing around, and making the attempt to remain somewhat hidden must have helped.
The woman continued with her motions when something made a shrill sound, once again alien to your fly senses, but quickly realize it was her cell phone when she went through familiar physical motions and started talking with it. You heard words, but couldn't understand them. It wasn't a language issue, but just hearing them coming into your antennae in a different way. Pulling away from the edge with Samantha doing the same, Samantha comes up with idea of what to do. Still having issues with the telepathy, you are able to make out the suggestion to spy on the lady for an exercise. You agreed, but came up with a contingency of running, or flying, away to a safe area just in case you two were spotted.
The next few hours reminded you of stealth-oriented video games you use to play. You went from spot to spot, just observing the woman and trying to keep track of Samantha as well. Samantha was being more adventurous, sometimes full on flying at times but making sure to do it on the opposite side of the room. The woman continued with various errands, obvious she was winding down from whatever she was doing before but still making 2 extra calls.
Eventually the woman went to sleep. You and Samantha met back up at the cookies to eat a little more and discussed how it went. Although yours senses were alien and shitty, especially when distance was involved, you felt with enough experience, you could understand what a person was saying and got better at details and body language. Your fly reaction times helped greatly, and along with your one pro of detecting "movement" period, you were both able to skitter or fly out of line of sight if you felt the woman was turning towards you. Also with the woman sound asleep, and in her underwear no-less, you really realized the fun and usefulness of spying on people could be.
Still your sleep was interrupted and you felt exhaustion coming on again. Thankful for the experiences of House Flies so far, you and Samantha make your way back to the safe-house and soon go back to Fly Sleep. However, to remind yourselves of each other, you both leaned against each other. You may be flies, but you didn't forget your love for each other.
