Ollie huffed sitting on the edge of his bed, feeling the strange sensations and thoughts of his new self. He had to get out of here, he just had to, but the ring and the magic were keeping him. There had to be some other way. Glancing around his eyes fell on a pair of Katie's own sneakers, a pair of pink high tops similar to his own. What if he tried that? If he became a girl, even just for a minute, maybe the magic would break and he could get out of here! He could always put the sneakers on again to turn back.
Plucking them up, Ollie slid the ring off his finger a moment as he took off his sneakers and let them drop to the floor. Then he slid the pink ones up onto his talons, folding them closed so that they would fit and slid the ring on his finger again. The warm tingle spread up his body and Ollie braced himself. This change was a little more subtle than the other one. Ollie felt himself become smaller, slighter, as a slight curvature appeared on his chest and hips. HIs talons tingled and though he couldnt see them the same pink coloring that was on Katie's toes appeared on them. His eyes blinked as the blue became hazel as between his legs a shift lurched and Ollie felt a sudden alteration that he couldnt quite place.
Ollie stared at herself in the mirror. There were just enough changes that she could tell that she was different, that she was a girl, but to an outsider or someone that didn't know her, it was impossible to tell. strangely, she couldn't help but think how pretty she looked, and even more disconcerting, when she thought about being a human boy another thought came, "ewww...gross, cooties!" The thought of herself as a birdboy though was oddly unique and appealing.
