Lindsay woke up with a yawn and a massive headache, she had drunk a little too much last night, but she was also considered a light weight by her friends. Slowly she sat up from her spot, did she really pass out on the beach? She did. As she rubbed sleep from her eyes, she thought she saw two heads of people in the water offshore but as she rubbed her eyes one was gone followed by the other. Passing it off as her eyes playing a trick on her, she sat up and looked around. Everyone else seamed to be passed out as well. Some in the beds of the trucks, a few in the cabs of the same trucks and others like herself passed out on the sand.
She let out a yawn and looked toward her boyfriend who was still asleep beside her, people called them a cute couple and she had to agree with them. He was on the shorter side for a man, but she was on the shorter side for a woman, his deep brown hair contracted with her own bright red hair and her pail freckled skin with his darker olive skin. Slowly she sat up brushing off some of the sand from her cargo shorts before pulling her cellphone out. She had at least put it in a plastic bag to protect it from the sand, but it was dead.
“Shit.” She cursed as she looked around, everyone else was still asleep but she did see some early signs that they were waking up. She moved through the camp, pass the coolers which had been full of drinks, mostly beer but a few others and headed toward where she knew a nearby restroom/changing area was.
It was your standard public restrooms which seamed to be found at any public beach, it had an attached shower room as well. Still half asleep, she went in, did her business, and went to look at herself in the mirror.
A pale skin, red haired women about to head into her senior year of college looked back at her, her make up was a mess but better then she thought it would be after a night sleeping in the sand. She adjusted her top a bit, her breasts where always small but they went well with her smaller frame, but the red bikini seamed a little bit tighter then normal. She brushed that aside and adjusted her short pixie cut hair before walking back out.
Then she stopped dead.
She noticed out of the corner of her eye, the ocean. That wouldn’t have been a surprise but there was supposed to be land over there. She looked that direction and saw the ocean with a couple of small islands in the middle to far distance.
Confused she headed up a small sand dune, maybe she was mistaken but she wasn’t. When she got to the top of the sand dune, she didn’t see more sand which led to a parking lot about 50 yards away. Instead, she saw the sand dune sloping down again toward another beach and more water. From where she was standing, she could see in all direction, they where somehow on an island surrounded by water.
“What the fuck?” inquired Lindsay confused about what was going on.
