"What do I think?" Min rumbles, his face a mask of calm as he collects his thoughts. "You ask me this, only now... Really?"
Kim flinches away, ears drooping at the anger and hurt in his tone, "Honey, I..."
"Say no more," Her heart sinks at Min's words as he turns around, shuffling tiredly towards the living room couch. "I need to think."
=====
Min remained silent and unmoving after that, only hummed in response when his kids greeted him when they passed him by.
Dinner was a quiet affair, the kids obviously noticed the tension between their parents and spoke nothing - Retiring to their rooms at the first chance to give them both some alone time. The son was confused and scared, though Sumin shot knowing looks of concern at Kim before leaving.
=====
Kim gingerly places the reheated bowl of nachos and cheese in front of Min, and seats herself on the other end of the couch. They sit there for a while before her husband finally breaks the ice
"What were you thinking," Min sighs in frustration... And worry, "Doing something this dangerous on your own?"
'???????' Kim perks up in confusion.
"You're lucky the fruit only gave you a fluffy tail and furcoat, you don't have to mind your surroundings much!" He scolds, scooting over and hugging her tightly, "What if it changed your size or did something worse, and you got hurt because of it?"
'He's not wrong... There ARE accidents...'
A newly-minted Mouse fruit user shrinking down and ended up hospitalised by their own mousetrap was one...
Some Macro fruit user had to summon the fire department to tear down their house in order to set themselves free...
Then there's the tragedy of a Snake fruit user, never waking up again in the middle of a snowy winter...
To name a few.
"So... you're not mad at me?" Kim asks hopefully, tearing up with relief. "For becoming... this?" She gestures to all of herself
"Oh, I'm absolutely furious at you, not for becoming such a beautiful vixen..." Min huffs at the incredulous look on his wife's face and waggles a finger at her. "...But for toying with danger."
"Oh, oh, I'm so sorry!" Kim wails and hugs him back tightly. "I should have thought about the risks, talked this through with you and our kids first."
"There, there, lesson learned." Min pats her gently, "Think twice about making a life-changing choice like this one next time, alright?"
Kim purrs happily in response.
