"What's going on?" Kim's husband, Min, asked hesitantly, not truly believing his eyes.
"Well, this is... Hmm..." Kim concentrated for a second, as mist began to emanate from her invisible tail. With a quick twirl, she covered herself in a plume of smoke. With a quick tap of her paw, the mist popped like a bubble, and her illusion vanished along with it. She stood in front of him in all her foxy glory.
To his credit, Min didn't immediately pass out. He kept glancing between the reflection and the fox, unable to comprehend what was in front of his eyes. "Wha... What are you?" he hesitatingly asked.
"Min, it's still me. I just... well... you know those Lilith fruit things?" Kim didn't want to terrify her husband of 15 years, but how else would he react.
"You ate one of those things?" The man was still in shock.
"Yeah. And it turned me into this. I can make illusions though! Watch." She repeated her first spell, regaining her human appearance.
"Oh wow. That's um... wow." Min glanced back at the reflection, confirming that it was still the fox lady, even though when he glanced back at his wife, Kim still looked human.
"I know it's a lot, but just think about it." She dismissed the illusion again, enjoying the swish of her tail. "I'm literally a kitsune now! Imagine what else I could do." Kim paused, seeing her husband's expression. "So... what do you think?"
