Connor and Suzy had fused and started calling herself Carly. She enjoyed spending time with her parents. However, she had moments of difficulty where she felt she was more of one than the other.
For example. She would talk with her mom and feel like she was more Connor. There were times where there were no obvious triggers though. Like when she was hanging out with Suzy friends or in the locker room changing into her cheerleader uniform. On second thought, maybe there was a trigger after all.
While there were also moments where she was more Suzy, those were less intrusive since Suzy was already a girl. Being Connor however was awkward. Suddenly she would feel uncomfortable in her skirt or would be awkward with how to handle her boobs.
Carly decided to see her friend Carlos who left the squad after fusing. He seemed thoughtful after she told him about the issues she was having.
"That's just a bit of a side effect from fusing. It will happen less as you explore your new identity as Carly. The best parts of both will find their place in you. Until the mind balances both identities you will experience a bit if shifting back and forth."
Carly nodded. "I mean I remember being one just as well as the other so it's not like either are dominant. It's just a bit awkward when I feel like I'm Connor and start taking peeks at my team mates."
"Yeah, that's not gonna stop. I never met Connor but if he was straight, then you are bi. I'm glad Amber was a lesbian so I don't have to go through with that."
"How did you get through this weird shifting period?" Carly asked.
"I made new memories. Amber and Luis had memories of things that I didn't have any personal experience with. I tried a lot of their old hobbies and new things neither had done. It really help me discover myself and that stopped me from shifting back and forth from Luis and Amber and let me be Carlos."
"That's a great idea! Carly exclaimed. "I wonder what I should do first?"
