A young peasant boy named James stumbled through the woods. It was midday on a very hot day, and he was very thirsty. The small, preteen boy toted the reins of an old nag of a horse, which itself barely pulled a cart of goods to sell at market.
James had always longed for more from life, for adventure and romance. But he had not been among the boys his age selected to train as knights, and so here he was, hoping to find water as he guided the old horse home.
Soon he found that water, a pure spring that looked wonderful. James tied up the horse and scooped some of the water and drank.
Immediately a strange sensation came over the boy, who collapsed as he began to transform. His body grew and expanded rapidly, launching him from 5 feet even to an imposing 6’4”. Not only that, but he began to mature, genitals swelling, light hair sprouting on his face, chest and limbs, jaw sharpening into a more rugged form. James’ hair remained short but turned a golden blond color, while his Adam’s apple grew to deepen his voice. Muscles exploded all over him, from thick biceps to meaty pecs to 8-pack abs and massive legs.
In the end, James had gone from a 5’, 100 pound 12-year-old to 6’4”, 240 pound 18-year-old. He was an incredibly handsome young man, and his peasant rags had become a tight leather jerkin and breeches. A fur-trimmed cloak hung from his shoulders to his ankles, and a sword hung in a scabbard at his side.
New memories flooded his mind. He was no longer James the little peasant boy. He was Prince James, the heir to the throne of the kingdom and leader of the knights of the realm. He had trained as a knight since childhood, and as a prince he now sought a princess to save, both to find love and to prove himself as a true hero. He was an expert with a sword and had defeated many formidable foes, but this quest was his alone.
“Come, Magnus,” the young prince boomed. “We must continue our search.” His prize stallion came to him, and he jumped on and rode off at a run into the woods.
